I need something with sleeves and my legs have to be covered - either with boots or trousers.

I have no idea what people wear out these days!

Please help!

I'm not really a clubbing person, but when I do go out it's normally black skinnys, long sleeved shirty kinda top (try Primark, ASOS and Warehouse) a big chunky necklace, leather biker jacket & a big clutch.

I also wear flats, buts that because I walk like a newborn calf in heals!!

I'm 32

CremeDeSudo · 06/04/2016 10:02

Last time I went out (over Easter) I wore a black fitted midi skirt Could you wear skirt and tights/leggings?), black ankle boots and a black racer back vest top. I wore a tartan shirt too but took it off most of the night. I tend to dress more casual though, I don't do dressy very well! I'm 34.

Annarose2014 · 06/04/2016 10:04

Black skinny jeans are your friend! And yes to the chunkiest funkiest necklace you can find.

Go to Primark and go mad!

lulucappuccino · 06/04/2016 10:07

Chunky necklace and biker jacket = ageing frump, sorry

Voteforpedr0 · 06/04/2016 10:07

Shirt dress, flat ankle boots or trainers

Annarose2014 · 06/04/2016 10:09

lulu care to share your cutting edge style tips then? No?

BiftasWifta · 06/04/2016 10:10

I'm 31, I either wear black skinnies or black leather look leggings with an oversized shirt. I wear heels but flats would be fine too.

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 06/04/2016 10:11

Skinny jeans, a nice top, and then dress it up with heels/accessories? Basically whatever you feel comfortable in.

FabFlo · 06/04/2016 10:42

Ok I have a biker jacket.

Will go to primark for chunky necklace.

Need skirt and top.

Has anybody seen any ankle boots that are not expensive? I think I read a block heel is fashionable

You'll probably find those in Primark too!

FabFlo · 06/04/2016 10:44

I can't decide between skirt or black skinnies.

Last time I went clubbing no one wore jeans, is it a normal thing now?

Are knee high boots no good? I have a pair of tan ones with a heel.

If it's actual clubbing there'll be no one in chunky necklaces or jeans. It'll be very very hot and sweaty.

If it's more of a bar where people dance you'll be fine it what has been discussed.

Who are you going with? Are they people you haven't been out with before? Clubbing is quite an unusual thing to do for a first time out type thing.

FabFlo · 06/04/2016 16:30

I've met them tbrough work, they regularly go out together and have asked me.

I have lost lots of weight so want to go and enjoy myself.

Maybe I should just ask them what they are wearing? Is that weird?

Skinny jeans or opaques and a black mini skirt. No to a chunky necklace. Yes to a biker jacket.

CremeDeSudo · 06/04/2016 16:51

I always ask what my mates are wearing so you should absolutely ask them!

FabFlo · 06/04/2016 17:15

I'm gonna go with black skinnies, top and heels.

Any ideas about tops or heels would be appreciated. My biker jacket is tan coloured

If its proper clubbing then vicious looking stilettos I'm afraid.

Tops - stick with black.

FabFlo · 06/04/2016 19:09

I think it's more bars with dancing now

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 06/04/2016 19:17

I would go with shiny black leather look leggings, unstructured loose shirt, chunky jewellery and heels. Are we talking full on clubbing, dancing all night or a bar with a dancefloor? I always get really hot dancing in clubs so bear that in mind.

FabFlo · 06/04/2016 19:24

Bar with a dance floor

can anyone link to the type of shirts that keep being mentioned?

I'm jealous, haven't had a proper night out in ages! Have a great time Smile

KP86 · 06/04/2016 19:33

Something like this style, but not this colour. I prefer cream, or patterned ones.

KP86 · 06/04/2016 19:34

Meant to add: if you've lost a lot of weight (congrats!!) you can tuck the front of the shirt in very slightly to show off a fab, flat tum.

Definitely wear with skinnies.

Enjoy your night out :)
