What does a 30+ year old wear out clubbing?

I need something with sleeves and my legs have to be covered - either with boots or trousers.

I have no idea what people wear out these days!

Both those are great. I love the black trousers she is wearing too. Depends which looks best with your jacket and jazz it up with some big earrings or necklace and silver bangles.

I personally prefer the second one as it's more 'carefree'.

I'm 40 and last time I went clubbing, I wore snakeskin print jeans, a long lacy camisole and a feather shrug.

idk, im 35 and Id think of both of those shirts as workwear.

If I'm going out with legs covered, I'd go for something like the leather or coated skinnies (rather than jeans) with the type of tops mentioned above.

I love my disco pants for this kind of thing but fear they may be going out of fashion .

I'm more confused than ever, I don't want to go out in a work wear top.

I think that because the leather look leggings are quite sexy, a fairly conservative top would look good. I like the way the leggings have been styled in this picture.

I really don't like leather look leggings. I don't think they flatter many people.

Bear in mind if you are dancing and it's hot in the venue the shirts will soon be too hot!

Remus I agree re leather look leggings had a slim friend who loves them but even on her just looked cheap and dare I say it sleazy!

It depends on the venue, I guess.

But if I go out I usually wear jeans, trainers and a nice vest top.

Forget leather look trousers, how are you supposed to dance in them ? Sweat much ? Do you want to let your hair down and have a fun night ? Or are you going to pose ? Skirt, casual top and trainers or an a-line skirt, blouse and heels for the latter.

I love the look of leather look or coated skinnies. I can dance in mine. Just pick some that have some stretch in them.
Sorry if you're now more confused than ever by all the opinions OP. I think everyone has different tastes and styles so probably best to go with whatever makes you feel good.

I wouldn't plain wear white/cream in case a numpty spilt a drink on me, although I do think those last two tops you've posted would be great for the pub.
