Does anyone actually USE body lotion.

Judging by the big bag of out of date products I've chucked out tonight I obviously don't.

A couple of years ago I decided to cut down on the chemicals I put on my skin...so as these weren't natural...I just never used them

Not a lover of larding stuff on me after a bath.

I make my own face cream which is natural so would just use that.

So...are you like me..or do you use it?

Yes. But I tend to use straight cocoa butter, shea butter, almond oil vs the chemical fragrant stuff. But use something every day.

I am 52 and a woman my age in the market actually demanded identification when I was purchasing some beer a couple of months ago. Legal age is 21 but this store requires ID of anyone who "appears to be 30 or younger" as they say. When i handed her my driver's license she did a double take and said' "Could've fooled me!"

So I will continue to use daily face creams and body lotions among other pampering tools.

Everyday

reader77 · 27/03/2016 05:20

Twice a day now. After morning shower and before bed. I didn't for years because I couldn't be bothered but have quite dry skin. I decided to take better care of myself and body lotion twice a day feels quite pampering.

RaeSkywalker · 27/03/2016 06:27

Yes, every day. I use mostly organic stuff.

ByThePrickingOfMyThumbs · 27/03/2016 07:00

Yes. I moisturise all over 3-4 times a week. Otherwise my skin gets very dry.

waceystills · 27/03/2016 07:17

Everyday after my morning shower. I use body butter too as some moisturisers are too greasy.

It makes a huge difference to my arms and legs.

NorksAreMessy · 27/03/2016 07:18

Seemingly every single woman at the changing room at my gym does, copiously and with no clothes on! Blush

Lighteningirll · 27/03/2016 07:28

Every day when I was single now it's when I remember and my skin is noticeably drier.

SagaAndMartinsLiftConvos · 27/03/2016 11:09

Yes, always after a shower or bath. Lotion, body oil or massage bar. I like to spend time rubbing it in and then feel all pampered after.

Moogdroog · 27/03/2016 11:14

I probably should, but i don't very often. I must have litres off the stuff hanging around. I never seem to have the time to do it.

LadyPriggsbottom · 27/03/2016 11:14

Nope! I tend to use baby oil after a shower (or something a bit nicer if I have it), but never lotion, always an oil that goes straight on to wet skin, otherwise I end up throwing it out. It's probably pure laziness on my part as an oil is so easy to put on. I also hate having to wait for lotion to dry or else having lotion soaked clothes / pjs. Oil can be patted dry with a towel so not as annoying.

SmellySourdough · 27/03/2016 11:17

just the shins and elbows in winter (eczema).
I hate the sticky wet feeling.

Savagebeauty · 27/03/2016 11:19

Every day

cosytoaster · 27/03/2016 11:20

Lotions tend not to be moisturising enough for me so I use body butters/coconut oil, but yes use them everyday and sometimes twice a day - soon become scaly otherwise!

MrsBertMacklin · 27/03/2016 11:25

Yes, if I'm not running late. I also use a dry oil on my elbows and ankles before bed.

Skin feels nicer and looks brighter for it. Absolutely essential for my elbows, they look full on grey if I don't look after them!

Indecisivejo · 27/03/2016 11:26

Yes every evening after my shower. I don't always do it after my morning shower though.

Dowser · 27/03/2016 11:27

Im so pleased I asked this question because the answers are very interesting.

I too hate that greasy feel you get and all of them are mainly what came in sets.

What's the difference between body butter and body lotion. I'm presuming the butter is thicker.

My arms are particularly sun scorched...so I should give something a go.

Maybe I need a rethink.

Sorry cosy...you've answered my body butter question.

winterinmadeira · 27/03/2016 11:31

Yes every day. I use body creams and not lotions if I can and it keeps My skin from getting dry.

Madbengalmum · 27/03/2016 11:33

Yes, i would have terribly itchy skin if i didnt.

derektheladyhamster · 27/03/2016 11:34

I'm using a gift set of nuxe dry oil on legs and arms. I can't use it in my face due to sensitivity. Also on neck and décolletage.

burnishedsilver · 27/03/2016 11:37

Everyday.

LadyPriggsbottom · 27/03/2016 11:39

derek

Love the Nuxe oils. The one with gold in it is my favourite and they smell so nice.

DrivingMissLazy1 · 27/03/2016 11:41

Everyday on my arms and legs.

IfNotNowThenWhenever · 27/03/2016 11:41

Most days. Aveeno, or something from Lush. I love the yellow Keihls one too...forget the name.
Sometimes I just use some almond oil after a bath though. I need to do my feet, they are like the feet of a 3000 year old mummy!
