So.. I can't sleep and remembered somehow that this was being launched at 11pm.. Next thing I know I am checking out a £250 basket Shock much of which I'm sure will go back as duplicate items in different sizes/ prints etc..

Has anyone else had a look? Tell me if it's actually nice or if I've fallen for the hype of the late night "release"!!

Me neither 70s. I quite liked the make up bags and dd fancies the totes and slippers, but no.

SeaRabbit · 18/03/2016 18:28

I've just escaped from Oxford Street. It was heaving, and as they've fitted a lot more in felt very cramped. I didn't buy any of the Liberty stuff - the prints that I liked weren't on garments I liked. As ever sizings all over the place The dress I ordered from the Liberty site will have to go back as even the XS looked like it would drown me, and I've ordered a S. There were no XS left on the rack!

TBH in the bright light of the store some of the Liberty colours look a little cheap.

The Lemaire collection however was beautiful - amazing quality, nice styles and gorgeous colours. The clothes are designed for someone taller than 5'4", though so I passed. If you're tall get down there.

On the plus side I got a lovely simple belted linen dress in their normal range.

indecisivedoctor · 18/03/2016 18:57

Now on the Liberty site.. Everything looks nicer on here ( luckily including the bits I've bought already).

They've got better stuff for kids.. Bloody steep postage though!

I browsed last night, dithered and had another look this morning, but nothing grabbed me.
I am awaiting delivery of my Liberty print Supergas thoughSmile

gingercat02 · 18/03/2016 19:39

FFS OP! I've just bought a load of stuff I didn't know I needed thanks OP Wink

indecisivedoctor · 18/03/2016 19:51

You're so welcome Smile makes me feel a lot better about it.. I do like Uniqlo stuff though but don't rate their patterns. Haven't bought from the collections before now..

Resisted urge on Liberty site. Postage way too much to justify for few t shirts for DD.

Wonder what day it'll arrive?

OP posts:
faustina · 18/03/2016 23:12

my orders were shipped tonight. Uniqlo are very good with shipping - I'd expect them on Monday

indecisivedoctor · 19/03/2016 07:44

Thanks Faustina. I haven't had a "shipped" email yet but hopefully soon..

A nice parcel would cheer up my Monday Smile

Oh dear. I bought the Betsy bra dress - looks really easy to wear for summer.

VeryPunny · 19/03/2016 08:03

I bought some tee shirts and two patterned down gilets, as well as a tote. I missed out on a shirt and was disappointed by the dress styles.

I do have a fab blouse from the Lemaire collection which is giving me high hopes for the Liberty stuff!

gingercat02 · 19/03/2016 11:25

My delivery is on its way Grin

teawamutu · 19/03/2016 11:39

I got a couple of pairs of the shorts - if they can't be worn outside they'll be fine for pjs.

Whochangedmyname · 19/03/2016 14:12

Is this just available through the uk site? Can't find any links that actually open on the eu site.......

Whochangedmyname · 19/03/2016 14:17

Ignore me - I've learned to read! (And to think I'm an English teacher!)

Smallinthesmoke · 19/03/2016 17:56

Had a good nose around this collection in a couple of Uniqlos today (Regent St, plus the new Oxford St flagship). Lovely stuff! spent too much!
Got some T-shirts for the DDs. Nice quality jersey. One was a quirky design with frogs, dodos etc which went down well. Some of the other T-shirts for DC are a bit frillier (flouncy sleeves, bow at the back), I sized up for these which worked well. Couldn't find the car T-shirt in either store.
The three quarter shorts are gorgeous prints but definitely pyjama style.
If you can carry off the all over prints then all the dresses are divine. The bra dresses would be very weird though if you have big tits, just wouldn't work on me.
The shirts are all linen which put me off slightly. Quite heavy weight. Got DH a shirt. Size down on these as the large is giant. Billowing.
If anyone has any questions I spent so long looking at the stuff that I was trailed by a store detective, so do post!

teawamutu · 19/03/2016 20:43

Are the dresses very body con? Repenting the shorts but tight dresses don't really work on me.

Smallinthesmoke · 19/03/2016 21:16

The bra dresses are a good weight jersey and would look long and pretty and swishy if you get the right size. They are a sort of casual summery holiday look, more than body con. Having said that I have a thick waist and, together with ditsy prints, not a good look. Nowhere to hide!
The linen shirt dresses are very sweet, if you like that sort of thing and can be arsed with the ironing

indecisivedoctor · 20/03/2016 08:38

Thanks Small.. I'm excited about the arrival of my linen dress. Do you recall if it was very "waisted"? I'm hoping to be able to leave the belt off for more of a tunic effect. My waist is nothing I want to highlight!

OP posts:
Smallinthesmoke · 20/03/2016 08:48

Nope, the linen dresses are straight up and down. The best in my opinion for people who don't want fabric clinging round the waist. Having said that it's a lot of busy print esp in the larger sizes (I'm a 16) so it will be a personal thing whether you feel you can carry that off or not. It looks pretty statementy compared to a block colour. Hope you like your dress! Roll on the summer!

indecisivedoctor · 20/03/2016 10:19

Thanks small.. Think the proof will be in the trying on. I'm fairly petite and a 12 but with a thick middle. One of my favourite ever items is a Uniqlo chambray tunic dress I've worn to death and get lots of compliments on..

Yes, roll on summer indeed...!

puglife15 · 21/03/2016 14:13

Order has arrived... Verdict shortly!

puglife15 · 21/03/2016 14:21

Meh. It's all going back.

Linen cotton shirt dress is really big and not a nice cut on me at all - the S is baggy and I'm currently a 10/12.

Linen shirts - a closer fit, but the combination of print, fabric and cut is too mumsy.

VeryPunny · 21/03/2016 14:53

Good haul here - I got two of the lined down gilets, one in pink and one in blue, which are fab. Two t shirts - the skyline print and the flower motif one. Could only get a M for the skyline one so it's a wee bit big. The tote is lovely too - nice and sturdy, perfect for gym or beach.

Solasum · 21/03/2016 18:01

Just got mine today. Really love the shirt bra dress, it hangs really nicely. also a blue down jacket which is great, and pretty.

Grandad collar shirt dress I am not so sure about, but think it will be good for summer.

faustina · 21/03/2016 18:14

I'm going to have to think about the shirt dresses too. Really pissed off that they're all sold out now because I would have liked to have tried on a smaller size.

The t-shirts are really lovely! - the small fit me fine but I think perhaps the medium might hang better - will try on again tomorrow. They will be my summer uniform!

Haven't tried on the legging trousers yet but they feel quite unpleasantly stretchy and synthetic

I seem to have accidentally bought two of the bags (in navy) - they're really nice! wish I'd got another colour now. All sold out too.

Did anyone order a tunic? I'd like to know how long they are

If anyone went into the actual shop today are they sold out there as well? If not, I might trek up there ..
