Hatty, you can get Panch Phoran from Velan in Passage Brady if you are down that way.

Curry went down very well. Did carrots with pp and lemon. Most delish. And we have enough for dinner tomorrow. And more booze than we started with!

Collymollypuff · 14/03/2016 23:43

This is a teeny-weeny bit sentimental, but I'm gonna link it anyways...screen your eyes and look away if small horses are not your thing.

hattymattie · 15/03/2016 06:10

Thanks Mrs S - will send DH as he is more often over there. I have never eaten in Passage Brady as I always think the chicken is suspiciously cheap.
Glad your meal was a success.

bigTillyMint · 15/03/2016 06:41

MrsS, sounds like your curry night was a roaring success. Of course!

Molly, our local city farm has a lovely cafe with fab food. No ponies AFAIK, but lots of goats!

Rose, thanks - I'll bear it in mind. It's a speaking CA that he left till a bit last minute and he needs weeks to learn them.

Mindysgotswag · 15/03/2016 07:41

Hi fellow crepeys. New 40yrs+ lurker from newbie corner here loaded with voucher codes, bargains...and wine!

House trained, well behaved, oh...& I have a toddler son, too.

Room for a lil 'un?

I presume there's a bar and hot tub on here?Grin

Lalsy · 15/03/2016 08:04

Well done MrsS!

Mindy, welcome Smile - yes to the bar, we haven't considered a hot tub yet, not sure what we have been thinking of!

We used t spend hours in city farms - love Docklands and still go there sometimes, Surrey Quays - never found one with a great cafe though.

MrsSchadenfreude · 15/03/2016 08:38

Welcome Mindy!

We used to go to Vauxhall City Farm a lot when DD1 was small. It was just far enough to walk to tire her out... Grin

I am hugely tired and have so much to do at work today...

Have the most hideous bruise on my tit - it is every colour of the rainbow, but predominantly red, purple, blue and yellow.

motherinferior · 15/03/2016 08:52

It's only Tuesday.....!

I have conducted the second Ladyjog of the week and must bash the keys.

bigTillyMint · 15/03/2016 09:01

Lalsy, it's the SQ one - the café does really nice food! We often ride there on our bikes and along the Thames path.

MrsS, that's a good sign - it's healing!

Blackduck · 15/03/2016 09:21

I have a shedload to do too... and we have just discovered we have half a mill we didn't know about (might explain why the accountant left in a hurry), which the school must spend before July - don't suppose I will see any of it.

Dmum in home. Dad fed her last night (staff asked him to) but he is not going to continue it (good), and I now need to work on him re getting something of a life back.

Knackered here too

Mindy - hi

Mindysgotswag · 15/03/2016 09:38

Thanks MrsS, Lalsy...

Sorry for coming late on to the party but what happened with your tit?

Exciting day for me...have a pile of ironing and then need to go visit my parents!

On the plus side...takeaway tonight!Grin

Rosebag · 15/03/2016 09:42

I am not a horsey person but those therapy ponies are darling.

Tilly DD did her French speaking CA last Friday. We have lived, eaten and slept it since half term. It was going very badly until it suddenly clicked at the 11th hour. The effort involved DS2, DH (atrocious accent) and yours truly in a whole family effort, and much screaming. Flowers and sympathy!

Maybe arnica, MrsS ?

BD Thank god. Flowers

I feel like utter shit, after a night of shivering, sweating and coughing. I am going to lie on the sofa with Netflix for a bit. DH and I supposed to be seeing
this show tonight for our forthcoming wedding anniversary. I really don't feel up to it... Hmm

Rosebag · 15/03/2016 09:42

Welcome Mindy

herbaceous · 15/03/2016 09:53

What ho Mindy. Like the idea of a hot tub, but 40+ sounds suspiciously young. < narrows eyes >

My thoughts are turning to holiday. The Young Master has expressed an interest in Rome, so I'm wondering about a few days there then some vegging out in a nearby beach place. Has anyone been to Ponza? Or Sperlonga?

Auriga · 15/03/2016 10:09

Rose I suspect you could get a note from Sister to get out of going to the theatre. An evening of trying not to cough sounds hellish.

Welcome, Mindy.

Was hoping DM would allow carers to help her to wash & dress today. Instead, she's asked me to cancel them Sad. She only wants me.

I'm supposed to be out all afternoon (singing lesson miles away) & evening (seminar) but don't think I can go.

Now would be the time to read War and Peace but I can't concentrate.

motherinferior · 15/03/2016 10:14

Auriga darling, can you say no? This is wearing you to a shadow ...

CremOlafoam · 15/03/2016 10:17

Not been to either of those Herbs, sorry. Dsis is a frequenter of Italy with bambini so will ask her oyb.Smile

Bienvenue Mindy. Was it my welcome post that helped you find us? ( I have been a Crepey ambassador on newbie thread)Grin

Rose, it sounds a very similar affliction to mine last week. You need to rest. It is the only thing. Get Dh to phone the box office and beg to swap tickets for a future date. We do it for a small fee. Then you can go back to bed. Horrid virus.

BD, thank goodness, DM is safe in a new home. And breathe. You must be wrung out. Half a million£ you say. Bastards. Ffs. And breathe out. Your dad will be ok, but yes, it will take time.

Mrs S, a bit of arnica cream. Are you sore as well? Can you go braless whenever possible? Might be more comfortable. Perhaps not to work though Wink

Today am mostly doing bills and admin. Have been invited to a private clinic for my hand affliction ,as apparently the NHS has farmed this out because of long waiting lists. Suits me. Smile

BeachysFlipFlops · 15/03/2016 10:45

BD, at least the accountant left the half a mill. Round these parts you normally discover the money has vanished with the accountant, not the other way round!

We have the uni offer we wanted GrinGrin

Just past Rose's and on the way to MM, so close enough to home and London but not on the doorstep! It's on the smaller, more specialised course she wanted as well. Very proud.

My tummy with string is not looking happy at the moment. Bit gunky - I'll spare the pictures, but might fill it full of sudocrem if I get the chance to nip out.

I've downloaded a map my walk app and did 2.7 miles last night and 2.4 miles this morning. Feeling rather pleased and really enjoyed my walk this morning, all down little streets, going wherever took my fancy. All before breakfast!?

CremOlafoam · 15/03/2016 10:50

Yay Beachy that's terrific! So pleased for you!

Re the gunky tum: get some medicinal Manuka honey ( small tube from pharmacy). It is the best stuff and helped immensely when I had infected wound. Stays put. If needs be get some silver lined plasters too for maximum effect. Really can't recommend the honey enough. I'm a bit worried about the string tbh. Can you get the practice nurse to have a look see?

Blackduck · 15/03/2016 11:05

Auriga - agree with MI you need to 'pass this on' You can't do it all.

Dad is wobbly but filling the day, and had a lie-in until 7.30 :) today.....

We will see what the next couple of weeks bring.

Rosebag · 15/03/2016 11:08

Lovely news Beachy!!!! But get the wound checked, eh?

hattymattie · 15/03/2016 11:08

Beachy - well done to DD. DD2 has firmed York here so have to say am quite pleased being from up north. Also pleased that won't be paying for London.

Rose - agree with Auriga about Theatre - also if you're too ill to enjoy it.

Auriga - Sad re DM If you need light but good reading try Elena Ferrante (I know I keep plugging these but I love them).

motherinferior · 15/03/2016 11:27

Actually Auriga, I've come back to stress the No. Or you will end up doing it all.

Auriga · 15/03/2016 11:41

That's a risk, MI but I don't think it would be for very long.

motherinferior · 15/03/2016 11:44

I was thinking of adding that.Sadhow much support do you have as well?
