Oh BD.SadFlowers You were missed.

Magi, you'll be pleased to know I am indeed stocious. Am on the train feeling pleasantly fuzzy. A lovely night out,, missing those who couldn't make it.

CointreauVersial · 12/03/2016 23:45

Crem, hope tomorrow comes to fruition.

Am at CJ, eating a cornish pasty. ShockBlush

Stropperella · 13/03/2016 00:53

Hugs to you, BD. So sorry not to see you. Flowers
Just had word that ds managed to do a proper job breaking his right arm this afternoon. He was operated on at 9pm and has a load of wires in there for the moment. Something involving monkey bars (sound familiar GGG?) and a dare. Have just spoken to a nice nurse, who assures me he's fine at the moment.

Had a lovely, lovely time at the MU and talked myself hoarse!!

polyhymnia · 13/03/2016 01:09

I know where you lit met up ( know Lower Marsh though usually go to Cubana) but curious to know where you chose for a meal (just nosey!)

magimedi · 13/03/2016 07:22

GOOD MORNING Grin

All home by midnight? Pumpkins is al lI have to say Grin

Stropps - wires? Ouch.

Magi I am lining up stocious for the earliest opportunity (once I've looked it up Smile)

I wish I was feeling that hungover but heartened feeling of having been there last night.

Monty hope you're OK.

motherinferior · 13/03/2016 07:44

Hi Poly - we went to the Mulberry Bush.

NU, Envy at Alnwick gardens.

BeachysFlipFlops · 13/03/2016 09:46

BD, sorry to hear your news Thanks

Made it back just before midnight and dh kindly picked up.

We have a day of gardening, tree felling and homework, which seems to be creating a 'refugee getting to Europe' based board game Confused

Lalsy · 13/03/2016 10:06

Oh, BD Flowers. We missed you. And Monty and WAF.

What a lovely night! Thank you all.

Stropps, I hope ds wasn't upset last night - but also glad you didn't know about the op and the wires. Sounds like you got just about the right amount of info at the time - someone was doing her job well Grin?

NUFC69 · 13/03/2016 11:01

Oh, BD, so sorry that things are so bad. Thinking about you - many hugs.

Stropps, how awful about DS. I hope you both had a good night's sleep and that DS will be nestled in the bosom of his family soon.

Another lovely day: DS and family gone out for the day to the zoo and then a party. I am about to blitz the kitchen which is disgusting, DH has to garden to fill the green bin which is to be emptied tomorrow. Anyone watching our house first thing would have been amused to see DH trying to persuade visiting cats to come in (in his shortie pjs - DH, not cats) so that they didn't catch the red squirrel which was up a pine tree, or the fat rabbit under the bird table.

Glad to hear the MU went well, and everyone safely home.

hattymattie · 13/03/2016 11:40

Just checked in to see how things were last night. Glad you all had a jolly time - as usual. Rudy - hope you got home safely.

BD - I'm so sorry things are so bad.Flowers and hugs xx

It was really lovely to see everybody who made it last night. BD, so sorry things are bad. Sad Thanks Can we do anything?

Stropps, what a worry about ds' arm. They will do these things, won't they?

I had a lovely time at home with Crem - thank you so, so much for coming. I'll email you.

Massive thanks as ever to BTM for organising us

What would we do without her? sit at home and be miserable

bigTillyMint · 13/03/2016 13:12

Haha! It's not that hard to organise!

Yes Rudy, but at least we had a hugSmile And MI and Rose, I didn't really get to chat to you. Need another MU!

Thanks for all the uni advice last night (and this morning Stropps) - all good to know and great for DD to hear stuff from others IYSWIM. No hangover but feeling a bit jaded waiting for DSs big match to start at 2.

Rosebag · 13/03/2016 13:18

Oh my goodness Stropps Shock

Very sorry not to have seen BD, WAF and Monty Flowers and hugs.

Lovely time, Crepeys...adding thanks to Tilly...hard as always to get to talk to everyone, and awestruck into dumbfoundedness by the cleverness of some of the Crepeys who were sitting near me, in so very many topics!
Not helped by the fact that I could only hear every fourth word at times

I am decidedly achey this morning and have come to the conclusion that this results from an evening of wearing heels. How very decrepit. It's quiet here with just me and DS2. Dh has (praise the lord hallelujah) taken himself out to buy some new trainers. DD is doing shows, and is in my good books for having done all her H/W. We are going for a late pub lunch after having checked in with her between shows.

BUT what kind of evening is it going to be with NO CALL THE MIDWIFE Sad

Stropperella · 13/03/2016 13:57

While I yakked for Britain last night, there were still too many lovely crepeys I didn't get to chat to properly. I must admit I only drank 2 glasses of wine, so am not feeling at all delicate today.
I spoke to ds this morning at 9, before he was discharged from hospital. He sounded extremely chirpy, apart from the fact that he now can't play in the county tag rugby finals this week, or swim in an inter-schools swimming gala. He gaily said he'd be doing taekwando as usual on Thurs Confused but the doctor told him he can't even go to school until after he gets his full cast on next week. The wires come out under GA in 4 weeks, all being well. Probably still no sport for a while after that, apparently. Anyway, dh has now taken him out for a pub lunch. It would seem that dh was infinitely more stressed by the whole arm episode than ds.
I'm having a nice relaxing train journey. We are taking the scenic route because of engineering works.

Stropperella · 13/03/2016 13:58

Soz about lack of paragraphs. I'm blaming my phone.

polyhymnia · 13/03/2016 14:55

Hi, mother, have often seen that (MT) but never tried. V handy for National Theatre - and clearly good for a sociable evening as well.

bigTillyMint · 13/03/2016 15:48

Errrr Stropps, I think you'll find you had a couple of cocktails tooWink

DSs team have just won - yay! Very tight, fast match as the other team are second in their league.

MrsSchadenfreude · 13/03/2016 15:57

I am sitting in a restaurant observing how women eating on their own are still ignored. The man who came in after me had his order taken and was brought a drink before anyone deigned to take my order. And I had to grab someone and tell them I wanted to order too...

Stropperella · 13/03/2016 16:00

Well done your ds's team, BTM.

And yes, I hadn't forgotten the cocktails. Grin It's just that I would usually have downed a whole lot more wine as well as the cocktails. Grin
Another 25 mins on the train

CremoLafoam · 13/03/2016 16:40

Oh bloody he'll Stropps old thing! And of course , happening while youu were away! Hope ds is ok.

Has the best time Crepeys. As always, such a pleasure to spend time with y'all. And sp. Thanks to Molly for putting me up and putting up with me.

Coffee with dd this lunchtime and her GF came too. It was actually lovely. They are quite cute really. on way to Stansted now.

See you on the other sideThanks

bigTillyMint · 13/03/2016 16:45
