I know someone at work who today joined a conversation about shampoo (I know-gripping)by saying they hadn't washed their hair for 5 years. Just wet it and that's it as shampoo strips all the oil. Tbh their hair looks terrible, lank and greasy. I've heard this before (from friends of the hippy persuasion) but it is a load of tosh isn't it?

They're not offensive comments, they're simply statements of fact. With the person I worked with you don't have to put your nose to her hair, you can smell her just by walking past/sitting together in meetings etc

hard to beleive anyone stuck their noses so close to someone's hair to justify those offensive comments.

You really dont need to. Greasy/dirty hair is detectable from a distance of just having a conversation with someone.

You don't need to get near to smell the stink. It bloody well carries. Big sillage, or whatever.

Travelling on public transport gives you many an unwanted opportunity to smell someone's unwashed hair! Perhaps I'm sensitive to it but I can always smell unwashed hair and it isn't pleasant.

I'm off to the hair dresser now so will have lovely swishy hair. And I'm getting a deep conditioning treatment. 🙂
