What's good at The Body Shop?

HelloCanYouHearMe · 24/01/2016 17:41

They keep emailing me and now I have an offer worth spending money on... but I havent shopped there since I was about 12.

I've got combination blemish prone skin, dry cracked hands, bumpy thighs and love a nice fresh smelling shower gel....

Hit me with what's good, if you will!

What's the offer? Money off anything or specific items? I'm on their mailing list and haven't had anything.

Ilovetorrentialrain · 24/01/2016 18:02

I've heard their make up brushes are pretty good.

Other stuff I find hugely overpriced nowadays unfortunately.

HeyMicky · 24/01/2016 18:03

Chamomile cleanser is lovely if you do hot cloth cleansing

mumsnit · 24/01/2016 18:03

Hemp or Absinthe hand cream - amazing for dry hands.

Love the Fijian Water Lotus shower gel and fragrance range - really fresh and oceanic although maybe more for spring/summer.

Body butters are as good as ever. Shea is my favourite one!

ChessieFL · 24/01/2016 18:16

Hand cream, body butters, shower gel. That's pretty much all I buy there.

kimlo · 24/01/2016 18:20

The hemp hand cream is really good, but O find the other ones stingy and make my hands worse.

Any of the body butters.

TwoInTheMourning · 24/01/2016 18:25

Their paddle brush is really good
don't rate anything else

breezeharbour · 24/01/2016 18:26

Agree with the hemp hand scream it's very good.

I use the vitamin e face spray and night cream. It's the only stuff that's worked on my dry skin and not created a t zone on my face.

I love the body butters and body sprays but unless you're invested in applying it every day I find mine end up sat about in a drawer for a long time.

BeverlyGoldberg · 24/01/2016 18:27

Banana shampoo and conditioner is lovely and feels much more expensive than it is.

YoungGirlGrowingOld · 24/01/2016 18:29

Body butters.

Some of their fragrances are lovely in the shop but don't last at all ime.

Also vitamin E face cream and serum.

Tiggeryoubastard · 24/01/2016 18:30

They always send offers 50% off, £25 off a £50 spend. They send at least one a day if you're on their list. Smacks of desperation. The stuff is nice but ridiculously overpriced to start with, still overpriced after the fake discount. So you're not really getting much of an offer.
Whoever makes their pricing/offers decisions really must be thick.

MaccaPaccaismyNemesis · 24/01/2016 18:30

Hand creams, and the large satsuma/grapefruit/honeymania shower gels are lovely. They are 750mls and last ages.

TheBitterBoy · 24/01/2016 18:39

The hemp hand cream is awesome, it saves me every winter.

applecatchers36 · 24/01/2016 18:43

Hemp hand cream

vit E moisturisers

Vit C serum

TrionicLettuce · 24/01/2016 18:43

This primer is awesome for oily/combination skin.

ifigoup · 24/01/2016 18:48

If you have spots, or scars from old spots, their tea tree blemish reducing cream (in a little green pump bottle) is good.

travailtotravel · 24/01/2016 19:34

Make up brushes.
Lipstick
Supplies like headbands, exfoliating brushes, zit poppers (sorry, comedone spoons)
Peppermint foot scrub

CadiM · 24/01/2016 19:36

I love the chamomile cleansing butter (I have the chamomile cleansing oil too but prefer the butter.

rollonthesummer · 24/01/2016 19:57

Nothing since about 1988!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 24/01/2016 21:34

Their wash puff thingies

Absinthe handwash (I use as showergel) and cream (love the smell)

Camomile Cleansing Bualm (bit like Lush Ultrabland but smoother)

The males in the house like the Ginger shampoo, but it makes my hair feel 'matted'

Make up brushes

I have a Beech Lip Liner from pre 1995 which I still use

I've got the Drops of Youth Night Treatment ( thick, a bit gloopy but good if you take the time to apply it)

I see they have Passionfruit showergel....... (I loved the Passionfruit Cleanser wash)

CrystalMcPistol · 24/01/2016 21:44

The camomile butter and oil are lovely cleansers.

Vitamin E night cream (avoid though if shea butter gives you spots)

Vitamin E serum/oil

The Drops of Youth range is meant to be good although I haven't tried it myself.

ChishandFips33 · 24/01/2016 21:59

Second the banana shampoo and conditioner

ClarissaBell · 24/01/2016 22:43

Banana shampoo

CointreauVersial · 24/01/2016 23:55

Almond Oil "pen" for moisturising nails
Handcreams
Body Butter
Fijian Green Tea range

WhataRacquet · 25/01/2016 09:43

It's so expensive now. I hadn't been in one since they were bought out until last year and I was shocked at the prices. I left without buying anything.

I used to love the peppermint foot cream.
