Do you wear pyjamas at home

In the day or the evening? It's not very often I'm at home during the day but when I get home from work and shopping at the weekends I change into my pyjamas. I feel though that if I was in during the day, unless I was unwell, I wouldn't feel right in pyjamas all day. However wearing my clothes at home means they get creased and full of cat hairs.

I always put a dressing gown over my clothes, as I get so cold.

Yes always pjs / slouchy round the house clothes when I'm at home.

I nearly always wear pj bottoms during the day, with a vest top. Then if I need to quicky dash out or waste too much time getting the kids ready I just swap the pj bottoms for jeans and shove a tshirt iver.

They are fresh on in the mornings so Im not toooo slovenly.

It doesnt bother me if people call in and im in pj bottoms and tshirt (which I chuck on before answering the door) but if visits are pre arranged I would of course be properly dressed!

I'm always in my comfies at home, either PJS or leggings/joggers and a top. If I am going out I'll get changed then back into my comfies when I get home. If I am not going out that day I'll have a shower and get into fresh comfies. I feel more comfortable that way plus I have a 2 yo and 3 month old so I don't want to mess up my decent clothes cuz they are mucky pups!

No, never, it falls into the category of "things I had no idea people did until I came on MN". I do put my dressing gown on over my clothes if it's cold though. And I live in comfy clothes, usually jeans, sometimes leggings, no formal work clothes for me.

No. I own one pair of PJ bottoms and they are either for late night cooking or hibernating in illness. But generally no.

Pjs are my at home clothes, I don't actually wear them in bed 99% of the time.

If I'm just planning to be at home doing house stuff (which happens once in a blue moon) then I wear them all day, why get my nice clothes hot n sweaty/ damaged from cleaning products or just generally more worn/used if I can just wear pjs.

If I'm working from home I usually dress even if slovenly (my work can get messy)

I think my reasoning as opposite to most people's though.
If I am dressed up at home even though I'm planning for an at home then it's a sign I'm feeling mentally crap and I'm buoying myself.
If I'm comfortable enough to just wear pjs then I'm probably fairly stable

Yes, PJ bottoms and tshirt at home, but not in bed. I just find them so much more comfortable than proper clothes

Yes always wear PJ's when indoors, even if it means changing a few times throughout the day.

I usually leave on whatever top I'm wearing but swap pants/jeans for leggings. So much stretchier and comfortable for bending/kneeling with DC.

I'd love to wear gorgeous drapey expensive jersey lounge wear in soft light colours and waft about the place. But no, transparent-arse leggings for me!

I am now its cold as fleece pj's are so cosy and its not very warm at home, much comfier to wear than usual jeans too. One of our dog's also sheds like anything and the fluffy fleece seems to keep hairs from embedding unlike my normal fleece/wool jumpers. I also get changed now between home clothes and rest of wardrobe to wear out, to try to keep relatively fluff free .

If i know i'm due a delivery i put proper clothes on as i feel embaressed especially when its afternoon. The only time i've worn Pj's out was when i had to take dog round the block at 3-4am in the dark, certainly wouldn't go round the supermarket or mcdonalds like i've seen some do.

What kind of pyjamas do you wear? I would wear comfy clothes around the house if they were a bit nicer looking. I have two pairs of pants that I love but I wear them with yucky grungy old tshirts. Can anyone share some link love?

I'm a sahm of school age kids and I honestly can't think of anything more depressing than lolling around in pjs during the day.

I put mine on, post bath, late evening. They're often discarded in bed if I get too hot.

I occasionally keep them on at weekends after breakfast while I potter in the house, but never for very long.
I go to the bakers every weekday morning at 6-6:30am (live in France) so need to have clothes on by then.

MN offers such insights into others' lives.

If you wear your PJs in the house, don't they get muckier than they would if you kept them for night time only? Don't you need to change them more often, and then change into actual clothes too, for when you go out. Isn't it all a bit laundry and energy intensive?

It's true MN really does reveal things you never knew!

I can't imagine wearing normal clothes round the house - first thing I do is change into pj bottoms and a comfy top. And take my bra off!

Mine are fleecy tesco ones and a couple of nice pairs from fat face sales over the years.

I usually wear pj's at home. Much comfier and warmer than outdoor clothes.

If not pj's it's track pants and skinny t-shirts.

A Spanish shop called Oyshu sells great pjs to wear around the house.
I definitely do anyway. They are slightly more substantial and are boardering on gym wear. Wish they would move to the uk

I change into pjs early evening, may wear them until lunch time at the weekends. I couldn't wear them all day as I'd feel slob like

In my adult life, I've had one day I stayed in PJ's with the dc and I hated it.
Joggers and tshirts, yes, but no to jammies. It made me feel slovenly and itching to get dressed. Just my personal opinion, mind!
The only time I wear PJs is after shower but before bed (if I shower after 7pm)
Otherwise it's comfy clothes and then I wear nothing to sleep in.
Up in the morning big dressing gown on.

I used to wear PJs at home in the day as they were comfy and, like you, I have two cats and don't want their hair all over everything.

I started to feel a bit slovenly though...especially when answering the door and when DP came home and I was still in my PJs!

So I invested in a couple of pairs of leggings and long jumpers that looked nice. Now I have the best of both worlds....I'm comfy, these are my designated 'cat' clothes but I still look respectable and don't feel like a slob!

I love my pj's. They're on as soon as I come home from work and if I'm not going out on my days off I stay in them. I've a ridiculous amount of pairs though so they're changed very regularly

I wear pyjamas when I go to bed (which is at home) or possibly after having a shower in the evening to watch TV late at night. In the morning I get up, have a shower and get dressed, do my hair and put on a bit of makeup straightaway - a hangover from when the kids were tiny when my mum's main advice was to get my self ready first thing so I'd be ready for anything and if I didn't do it first thing I'd never get round to it! I've not got much on today so just pottering round at home, but still fully dressed and ready for action after waving the kids off to school.

Not pjs but as soon as I get in from work I change into trackie bottoms and comfy top/jumper - prob as close to pjs you an get without them being actual pjs. They are fine if someone unexpectedly turns up at the door but not good enough to head out to the supermarket in, IYSWIM. It means I can cook smelly food, deal with kids etc without messing up my smart stuff and also the smart stuff last longer as they are not washed as frequently.
