Has anyone seen them look good on ANYBODY AT ALL? Every fashion blogger I see in them looks utterly ridiculous, like they're wearing a pair of jeans from the late 90s that are too short.

Higge - I wish I could be like you! Too old and too up tight I fear!

I saw the Le Catch post and thought they were OK for the young and leggy.

I have some Topshop ones from the summer - they were called something like a cropped kick-flare, in a mid-blue. I actually wore them loads, with a tucked in top (usually a stripy one) and bare feet/ankles and either tan brogues or white Supergas. I'm 5ft 6 and they hit me just a bit above my ankle bones. I've retired them since the weather got colder because I don't know if the colour would really work with something like a Chelsea boot, plus, freezing ankles, but I'm hoping to wear them again when it warms up.

I was watching the first season of buffy last night and marvelling at the boot cut half mast trousers and boots combos they put Sarah Michelle geller in for so many scenes. Looks like bootcut ankle swingers are back though.
