What foundation do you wear? I'm very fair skinned and struggle to find make up that doesn't look a bit too dark on me.

It's a short fat brush used for buffing powder into the skin. This is Lily Lolo's one www.lilylolo.co.uk/sp+super-kabuki-brush+211?gclid=CJidqKy6m8oCFYPnwgodPgoKAg

I love LL's shades but never got on with powder/mineral foundations.

^that said they do look lovely. Tempted to try them again. Can't argue with £1.50 for a sample.

Ahh thanks, I have one of those just never knew what it was called!

No7 calico is too dark and orange on me. The machine said I was too pale to match Sad
Loreal true match is good as they have all colours each warm, cool and neutral. I'm rose Ivory which is the palest shade in cool tones.
Reckon colorstay go very pale too but it looks almost whitey sometimes

itsbetterthanabox · 10/01/2016 20:01

Estée Lauder double wear in cool bone is very pale and cool toned too.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 10/01/2016 21:30

No 7 compact foundation in Cool Ivory. I like it rather than love it, but it's the best I've found since Soap and Glory stopped doing theirs.

Armani Luminous Silk

Bexicles · 11/01/2016 08:13

Is the lilo lily powder suitable for oily skin?

Higge · 11/01/2016 08:35

I was Cool ivory on the No7 match thing. I've given up on foundation...it seeps into lines and makes me look awful. I now use primer and loose powder.

Stepawayfromthezebras · 11/01/2016 08:59

I like Bourjois 123 Perfect in the palest shade.

There are quite a few reviews on foundations for pale skin on the Forever Amber blog

I just tested the lancome teint idole, I recommended up thread, on my arm and it's too dark for me. I'm now going to be on the hunt again.

Wagglebees · 11/01/2016 11:52

I'm tempted to give up on it too. The Amazing cosmetics concealer on blemishes, Laura Mercier corrector for under eyes and some translucent powder will do me as a base for now.

One day I might actually find one that is the right colour and right formulation. It's like the holy grail of make up.

I'm extremely pale and Nars Sheer Glow in Siberia is the palest I've tried. It's a tad yellow though which is the only problem.
