Self inflicted style rules.. things you just cant NOT do

Me - matching metals.
Watch belt and jewellery must be ONE or the other, I would like to be all devil may care but I just... cant... do ...it grimaces

btw matching underwear - Dont give a shiney shit and cant afford all those bras

No mixing metals
No black and navy or black and brown
No opaque tights between May and Sept, used to be April to Oct but have shortened it
No brown eye make up if wearing black and vice versa

No animal prints.
Nothing with writing / slogans.
Can't wear pink lippy if my nails are red and vice versa.
No kitten heels.

Brenda, are you my husband? He is the only person in the world I know who uses the word shoddy, and he is obsessed that one wears a belt with jeans!

So mine are:

• Belt worn whenever wearing jeans

• I never mix navy and black, though I understand this is fashionable now

• Always wear perfume, feel naked without it

• Ditto "matching" underwear. ie I couldn't wear a nude bra with white pants

Other than that I don't have any rules..

I do the matching metals thing

Also cannot cope with black + bright colour.

No busy patterns/floral prints
Only skinny jeans
Heels must be entirely flat or skyscraper
Matching undies at all times

The only other rule (albeit the most ridiculous one in the world) is a dog poop bag (empty) in every single pocket. I've been on nights out and found them in clutch bags and jacket pockets.

Earrings with glasses. Never.

I don't have any rules, which is why I look like a scruff bag. Although I agree that empty belt loops look horrible and unfinished. This from someone who doesn't even wear matching socks most of the time..

But I do mix metals. Quite fond of gold and silver together.

No patterns - stripes and check are ok but nothing else even hinting at swirls is a no. Just looks frumpy. Sticking to this rule means I avoid anything too "fashionable" - I am for classy and timeless

Fitted clothes unless a big baggy jumper for slobby days

I try and wear a bit of make up as not to scare the children

No florals.
No fake leather.
No sparkly shit.
No words on clothes.

No patterns, except on scarves
Nothing fashionable or trendy, I prefer to invest in classics
Never leave the house without makeup
Trainers only worn for sport or gym (hence mine are pristine and still in box)

Another non-mixer of metals here. Makes me twitchy.

Always wear earrings. I even pop some on for the allotment.

No black - ever. Only brown.
Only gold, no silver.

No man-made fibres - only cotton, silk, cashmere etc (apart from underwear!)
No opaque tights, or boots of any kind (except wellies) between May 1st and August 31st
Lipstick or eyeshadow, never both at the same time

I am actually a massive scruff most of the time, those are pretty much the only rules I have...

My only ones are I never wear red or orange and never wear a cardie that is longer than my coat.

Cardie longer than coat, I couldn't do that either. Jumper would be OK.

I don't mix metals or navy and black. I like clashing colours sometimes but never navy and black.

I hate polo necks, tshirts, anything to close to my neck apart from the shirts and tops that have a top button, weirdly that suits me and I don't like having my boobs out either. Halter necks or strapless tops with bra straps showing. I really don't get this why don't you just wear a strapless bra or cups why wear something strapless and have your bra straps out weirdos.

I don't really bother with jewellery or perfume. I do like wearing both but I can't wear either mon to fri due to work so tend to forget unless it's a night out.

I will never wear the colour brown, it's an awful colour to wear especially teemed with lime green. It doesn't matter if your are a man or a woman stop wearing brown.

I also wish I could wear that really pale pink colour, it looks quite classy in my head. Doesn't suit me in rl and makes me look ill unfortunately. and clashes with my hair

No black shoes/brown bag combos, or vice versa
No fake leather
No dangly earrings before dark
Socks must match rest of outfit even if completely hidden
No midriff gaps
Tights must be nude or 100% opaque, nothing in between
No black and red- red with grey or navy only
No heels I can't stand or walk in properly
Dark or mid-level or light colours all over, not a mix
No tights with sandals or peep toes

I can't go withouy black eyeliner. Ever.

I could NEVER wear gold earrings with a silver necklace no no no...
skinny jeans and a short top.
Wide leg trousers with a long baggy top.
Socks and sandals.
Revealing top and short skirt.

Oh and no heels that are higher than 7cm. I just cannot do it.
