I am going for

  1. Cut and colour. Not everyone colours their hair some of us only when we needed to at about 42
  2. Wrap dresses and big tits

Green yeah it doesn't suit everyone. I look like crap in normal clothes because of my shape and general look.

I think giving style advice without seeing someone is really hard to be honest.

TheWitchwithNoName · 30/12/2015 16:18

Missing the point of the thread a bit but I fecking love fly london's biker boots! Smile

TaliZorah · 30/12/2015 16:18

I also hate bad bras. Can't stand seeing quadraboobs and riding bands.

Greengardenpixie · 30/12/2015 16:18

Maybe they have comfy bras and dont want hoisted?
There was an older lady where i work. Her boobs were down to her tummy. Not a good look...but maybe she doesn't want a bra cutting her circulation. Its harder when you get older. More back fat makes getting the right fit harder i would assume.

ProjectPerfect · 30/12/2015 16:18

mrsdv can't say I'd imagined you wearing anything in particular but the lindybop look surprised me weird how you get a minds eye view of posters.

I guess if I was commiting myself I've always thought of you as a petite blonde, skinny jeans, converse/ biker boots - casual but quirky stylish... Grin

I can't imagine droopy boobs are comfy though? I have medium tits and they're softer since having DS, I can't stand them not in a bra because it feels horrid. Can't imagine if you have larger boobs or droopier ones it'd be comfy?!

Any advice based on age rather than body shape or colouring.

'Stick to a palette of navy, grey and cream' when you've never even seen what they look like.

'Read Caroline Hirons' without mentioning that she works for a PR company (sorry, 'social talent agency')

HardleyWorthit · 30/12/2015 16:22

Irregular Choice shoes suggested as an acceptable brand for... well, anything.

Sparklingbrook · 30/12/2015 16:23

Our local Garden Centre sells clothes. They are a sight to behold. Brings to mind the Nolans in the 70s. I can't really describe them and yet there they are next to the Yankee Candles and cut price bulbs all glittery and shimmery. Confused

Greengardenpixie · 30/12/2015 16:24

Oh yes and
yawn

SirChenjin · 30/12/2015 16:25

We have a garden centre like that too Sparkling. It sells all sorts of glittery acrylic tat - and Joules for some reason Confused

Greengardenpixie · 30/12/2015 16:26

Its not dobbies is it?
We have a woollen mill and Joules and candles etc.

FannyGlum · 30/12/2015 16:27

Skinny jeans. They do not suit everyone. I look like I have parsnips for legs if I wear skinny jeans.

SirChenjin · 30/12/2015 16:29

It is Dobbies Grin

SinglePringle · 30/12/2015 16:29

Pretty much agree with EVERYTHING the OP has said. Plus the desire to shout 'Oi, love... your bra does not fit and makes your tits look like a sock with a tangerine at the bottom. PLEASE let me help you...'

Also... Skater dresses DO NOT LOOK GOOD ON ANYONE OVER A SIZE 12. Especially if you're an apple shape.

The wide expanse of fabric over your stomach highlights it rather than creating a waist.

And Irregular Choice are not 'quirky'.

I also hate the advice to pair a 'nice' cardi or shrug with a dress (usually for a formal function). They render any wearer frumpy. Put a structured jacket on. Much better.

Ah. That's better.

Sparklingbrook · 30/12/2015 16:30

No, it's an independent Garden Centre. I haven't been to a Dobbies for ages I should take a trip. Grin

Another Garden centre not far away has a 'Leading Labels' and a 'Cotton Traders'.

SirChenjin · 30/12/2015 16:34

On the plus side, our Dobbies also has a Ness outlet. Tartan and tweed might not be everyone's cup of tea but I like it, much to the horror of the teen DCs..

mudandmayhem01 · 30/12/2015 16:34

I am a size 6 so this isn't directed at me, but why are larger women so much more likely to be told they shouldn't wear certain things.

HardleyWorthit · 30/12/2015 16:35

Oh yes, Caroline Hirons...

GeorginaWorsley · 30/12/2015 16:36

I like mint velvet but I love grey so am in heaven there Grin
I dislike garish Boden /white Stuff /Joe browns type stuff and most if my wardrobe is grey navy and white.
I dislike Debenhams as it is so full of polyester prints arranged haphazardly.
Ditto TKMaxx.
Everyone raves about it but it just screams jumble sale to me.
Anyway, variety is the spice of life and all thatSmile

GarlicCake · 30/12/2015 16:37

Horton, perhaps you are the stunning woman who'd make a bin liner look good Grin

I am the old woman with 'quirky' hair colour. I'm still working my way through the spectrum, but my favourite so far has been turquoise. So shoot me - at least you'll be able to see me to aim!

NotAMamaYet · 30/12/2015 16:37

High waisted jeans for women with a 'fuller figure'

No!!! Just no. This isn't right and isn't flattering unless stick thin waif and stray

BrendaandEddie · 30/12/2015 16:37

Excellent gif hardly. Do I KNOW you ?!
