😬😳😭

So... What's the best method of dealing with an unwanted tache?

I have/ had PCOS so that's probably what's going on. My skin is fair and the hairs are fairly dark (like my arms and eyebrows)

I sound like a gorilla woman! Confused

Wax!

ditavonteesed · 06/12/2015 19:28

I dealt with mine after delightful dd told mne the same, nair facial cream its brilliant.

Porcupinepantaloons · 06/12/2015 19:32

Waxing hurts and I get loads of in growing hairs on my legs so not sure about that.

Is Nair a bleach or a removal cream?

I am clueless and panicking. Think I will be wearing the school run balaclava tomorrow! Blush

I use the nair hair removal cream too. I have pcos as well.

madmother1 · 06/12/2015 19:34

My poor DD has hers waxed or threaded. She's only 15 and quite hairy. Do not shave with a razor!!!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 06/12/2015 19:35

I wax my 'tasche it's very quick and I've never had any har problems but I do get a few tiny spots so need to pick my day carefully.

DD uses Jolen bleach (very gentle on her skin, she's 13.6)

Blonding hair still means it's visible in the wrong light though. Smile

FrostyNipples · 06/12/2015 19:39

If you are hard, epilate.

I got new contact lenses, realised I was sporting ISIS style facial hair (beard with no moustache I pluck my moustache natch) blonde, bushy and bang on trend it's had to go.

Topical or not the Noel Edmunds look does fuck all for me.

TeaFathers · 06/12/2015 19:42

Jolen hair bleach is very good.
boots own brand is much the same.
apply and leave on for 15-17 minutes and then remove.
i do my moustache on the button every 3 weeks.
otherwise i'd pass for groucho marx.

MaisieDotes · 06/12/2015 19:43

I epilate mine. I don't have to do it very often as it's naturally blond but as PP said it's still visible in certain light.

I have a Braun facial epilator but tbh the ordinary leg epilator is quicker.

MaisieDotes · 06/12/2015 19:45

Oh, I meant to say. I can't wax as my skin is too fair. I'd have to stay in for about 3 days if I waxed my tache!

ToysDontWorkNoMore · 06/12/2015 19:45

Pluck.

Porcupinepantaloons · 06/12/2015 19:45

Hmmm

I am not hard so epileptic get is out - couldn't even do it on my legs!

70 - I am still (despite being in my 30s!) spot prone so might avoid waxing too - a red spotty moustache is no better than a hairy one. 😬

Off to get some nair tomorrow!

OP posts:
MaisieDotes · 06/12/2015 19:50

But with Nair will it not grow back as stubble?

If you have an epilator just try it- it's not that bad I promise!

Fluffycloudland77 · 06/12/2015 19:55

You dont get stubble with nair, it's very gentle too. Mysupermarket.com will tell you the cheapest place to buy it.

megletthesecond · 06/12/2015 20:06

Facial wax strips. Leave it til Friday though (assuming you can lie low at the weekend). That way any redness can settle down. I've been waxing for years and never had a facial ingrowing hair and it's so quick it doesn't hurt anymore, no redness either.

carrie74 · 06/12/2015 20:28

I did wax and then bought a home IPL machine. Once I'd seen the results on legs, bikini and pits, I decided to have a go on the tache, and it's great. You're supposed to shave before using it, but there was no way I was risking shaving the tache, so I just did it without shaving, and it's still been effective. Only takes a minute too. But quite a big investment unless you're keen to go hair free elsewhere.

PrimalLass · 07/12/2015 09:48

I think mine is getting there, after looking in a very-well lit mirror this weekend. I think I'll save up for a Lumea.

Whoknewitcouldbeso · 07/12/2015 09:51

I epilate but am going to get myself a Lumea at some point as I'm moving into an age range now where a beard will be following soon enough.

Porcupinepantaloons · 07/12/2015 19:59

Well I did a patch test of Veet facial hair removal cream.
Actually I did 2. Because it would have been weird to just remove a patch of hair on one side, leaving me with a wonky 'tache! Confused

Veet smells weird! Like hair dye and burning hair!

OP posts:
Minshu · 07/12/2015 22:06

Epistick - clean, quick, easy, cheap and doesn't hurt much.

MabelFurball · 07/12/2015 22:18

Yes another one for Epistick - so easy and addictive!

Porcupinepantaloons · 09/12/2015 04:10

Ah fuck!

I did a patch test, all good.

Removed the rest of the hair last night, felt OK. But now my top lip is numb! Shock

That's a react to the cream isn't it. :(

OP posts:
70isaLimitNotaTarget · 09/12/2015 19:13

I have a weirdy numb lip after waxing. It feels creepily smooth and numbish.

I was going to wax a while ago but after doing my pits , I found it was really sticky and I had to reapply to remove what got left, I think the wax was old/heated too often.

I have new wax now Grin

Porcupinepantaloons · 09/12/2015 19:34

It's not nice is it! Confused

I'm chucking out the Veet cream. Hmm

I might try waxing next time, or maybe threading - I had my eyebrows threaded years ago and it wasn't too painful at all.
