Is this outfit just too boring..

..for a Xmas party? Basically black skinny jeans, a white silk blouse and heels.

The 'theme' is black and white (my company always insists on theming their Xmas parties..thankfully it's not full on fancy dress this year).

I could jazz it up a bit with some sparkle jewelry maybe? And I thought about getting some kind of sparkly flower to put in my hair.

I don't really want to spend money on a dress, and actually I'd rather be comfortable-ish.

Please be kind!

You look fab to me, the shoes are gorgeous. Xmas Smile

Little bit of jewellry and maybe a nice clutch / purse?

SuckingEggs · 03/12/2015 18:19

Look great. Add some sparkle in your hair, why not?

ExasperatedAlmostAlways · 03/12/2015 18:19

No, I'd wear it with this necklacewww.next.co.uk/g41236s6#400318 and theres a matching bracelet too if you wanted it. I wouldn't put a flower in your hair when there's one on your shoes.

superbfairywren · 03/12/2015 18:20

I really like the blouse, and the whole outfit looks really good. If it were me I would have a big clutch bag and go understated with your jewellery.

DavetheCat2001 · 03/12/2015 18:20

oh thank you seeyou Smile

Me and my stupid self doubts!

Sorry I'd probably wear black heels, stilettos or spaghetti strap high sandals too just to make it more glam.

DavetheCat2001 · 03/12/2015 18:22

Thanks everyone. I think a clutch bag and some sparkle is a good call.

The flower in the hair idea may be too much, thanks. It always helps to get some fresh opinions. OH just tells me everything looks 'nice' which doesn't help much!

I think the jeans and top look lovely. Would prefer high black shoes. Big silver cuff.

Millymollymama · 03/12/2015 18:29

Hmm. No, not a flower! Yes to a lovely clutch bag - a pop of colour maybe? Dangly earrings always look good and yes to a necklace because the front is a bit too plain otherwise.

Scarydinosaurs · 03/12/2015 18:31

Really great outfit

BoJolly · 03/12/2015 18:35

I like the outfit and it's definitely something I would prefer to wear. However, I'd go for something like

this jewellery

Greengardenpixie · 03/12/2015 18:38

I really think you look lovely. I dont like the shoes and agree. Black heels would be better.

OhYeahMama · 03/12/2015 18:47

Lovely - I would add long some beads in different lengths, 20's style to match the drop waisted top, and higher black heels if your feet can handle it!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 03/12/2015 19:22

I wouldn't do a necklace because the top is pretty enough already. Either a cuff or dangly earrings would be lovely.

DiorSausage · 03/12/2015 19:25

Top and jeans are lovely. You look really tall, slim and classy.

The shoes are a bit dootsie. Plus the light coloured shoes with black jeans breaks up the line of your leg.

I would go with other posters suggestion of black heels.

DavetheCat2001 · 03/12/2015 19:31

Thanks for all the advice ladies.

I shall maybe have to invest in some black heels as I don't currently have any!

Seeyounearertime · 03/12/2015 19:41

I still like the shoes.... Smile

FishOn · 03/12/2015 19:47

i like the shoes but they are a bit 'daytime' for an xmas party

black strappy heels would look fab though

very chic outfit OP

DavetheCat2001 · 03/12/2015 19:57

I like the shoes too Wink

I can see that black may work better though.

There's nothing 'wrong' with the shoes - they just look a bit daytime/cutesy/summery.

Dowser · 03/12/2015 20:51

Looks good to me!

Jibberjabberjooo · 03/12/2015 21:43

Where's the blouse from? It's lovely.

DavetheCat2001 · 03/12/2015 21:55

It's from Mint Velvet, but I bought it on eBay for £15 which I thought was a bit of a bargain!

Love the outfit but black heels would be nice (dressier)

SheHasAWildHeart · 04/12/2015 11:39
