as the crackle of acrylic ran through my ears i was OH MY GOD this is £120!

Jigsaw and whistles started mass producing stuff a while ago, upped their prices and went all polyester and acrylic which I can buy in tesco for less
Depressing as I like their designs

Dungandbother · 25/11/2015 22:51

I am beyond relieved that I am not the only crazy damn fool to inspect labels at all times before purchasing.

Floisme · 26/11/2015 07:06

Jigsaw used to be my favourite shop. It was always expensive but within range if I saved - and worth it. I still wear things I bought there ten years ago. The prices are way out of my league now and, as others have said, the quality doesn't seem to have risen with them.

Shame as they do a lot of colours I like.

Ha ha. And the tight fuckers don't even reduce today. Own goal jigsaw you miserable gits

How would I feel? I'd think "hey that's how capitalism works" ;)

Oh I dunno. Some brands apply blanket discounts so often that you feel you're being taken for a ride if you do pay full price. If I see something I like in M&S or GAP
I'll always hang on for a week until I get a discount code.

Jigsaw otoh have great sales (I've bought fabulous winter coats) but they are genuinely about getting rid of end of season stock, and if you want something in particular they may not still be available. It's a less irritating stance than effectively having a standard price and then a marked up price that you have to pay if you don't have a voucher that day.

I love it - we are not discounting because it might upset our customers.Grin

Jigsaw is a terrible, frumpy, overpriced shop!

Zara is a million times better,

PollyPerky · 01/12/2015 14:14

I saw this as part of their new stock.
WTF?

I see your Jigsaw outfit and raise you: [[http://www.cosstores.com/gb/Women/Tops/Oversized_A-line_tunic/46885-36693471.1#c-22755 Cos]

Higge · 01/12/2015 16:27

Even funnier to scroll down and Cos will show you more frumpy outfits.

HappyGirlNow · 01/12/2015 16:53

Oh my god that Cos outfit haha!

Whatthefoxgoingon · 01/12/2015 17:11

That Cos lady looks like she's about to go onstage for an opera. I've given up on jigsaw. I buy jaeger and toast mostly. I'm in my 40s. I'd rather be frumpy in natural fibres than sweaty in acrylic.

atreya · 01/12/2015 19:15

Overpriced and poor quality nowadays, and dull too. I don't know who's buying the stuff now.

Waxlyrically · 01/12/2015 21:28

If you have the patience for their website you have to go a long way to beat woolovers for real wool knitwear. Everything I've had from there is good quality and reasonably priced.

BrendaandEddie · 01/12/2015 23:02

Lol at frump

Woolovers is alright but the sleeves are always too short. Uniqlo jumpers have good long arms.
