Herbs, you always strike me as just the opposite-and more as someone who does just get on with things and has little fear of the unknown. Certainly in the last few years you have seemed fearless. I am the worst procrastinator in the world, however when I get going I can whirlwind my way to the end in double quick time.Grin
Cat cafes are the most wonderful thing! Earlier this year I went to the one in Berlin, funny enough. There were a family of ragdoll cats who are kind of floppy and love being cuddled. It was great!

Rose, my love, so glad to see you here again. Slowly slowly things will get back to nearly normal. Any chance of a few days to yourself in the flat? A bit of sea air might smooth the soul. Always in my thoughts.xx

Yes 8 birthdays. WTAF? Sort of have to do two part gifting. At least one of the presents will be some kind of gift card because frankly it would be overwhelming otherwise. Just as well I did my eBay thingummy. Totalling out at £400 notes. Now I get to splash it.Grin

hattymattie · 24/11/2015 11:05

Hello Rose - good to see you back (hugs).

I would just like to say I have a Benefit under eye concealer/eyelid primer. I has a sof plastic flexible tip and is brilliant.

Have stopped off home on the way through to find Sony speakers left on the doorstep in the rain. I think I must have missed the van by minutes but rather annoyed that anybody could have taken them or they could have been soaked.!

motherinferior · 24/11/2015 13:21

Crepeys, any recommendations for a really nice bath oil for about £20-£25 I can get my lovely sister?

bigTillyMint · 24/11/2015 13:27

Rose, good to see you back on hereSmile

I just have DH's birthday in Dec, plus a good friends. Not quite sure what I should get him this year - did think of a satnav, even though he despises themGrin

herbaceous · 24/11/2015 13:54

I have no birthdays in December. Except Our Lord's, obv.

MI - the Ren Otto Rose bath oil is lovely, as would be anything from Aromatherapy Associates. Though I haven't had a bath for SIX YEARS.

Am calming down about tasks before me, having cheekily emailed a tutor who recently left our establishment and stolen her ideas. It's odd - lots of experienced teachers have recently left, and been replaced with new people. Not sure the story behind it all, and not sure I want to know, either.

My birthday (which is in fact Thursday) is panning out rather nicely. My v old and dear university chum, who lives in Islington, is taking me out to browse the lovely jewellery shops of Upper Street for a gift, then treating me to lunch at Trullo, where we will be met by more dear chums, over especially from New York. Comfy shoes and expandable waistline will be the wardrobe orders of the day!

motherinferior · 24/11/2015 13:56

Herbs those are both lovely but pricey...

I have my nephew's 16th, easily solved with an Amazon voucher. Poor old SIL is on Christmas Eve!

herbaceous · 24/11/2015 14:16

I thought they fitted the pricing brief! I've obviously been out of the bath too long...

I have bought my 11-year-old nephew a subscription to Gadget magazine, as requested.. Best to add fuel to the consumerist young mind, I find.

motherinferior · 24/11/2015 15:48

I think you should have a birthday bath!

hattymattie · 24/11/2015 16:01

I'm another shower person. MI - I love Jo Malone although not sure what their oil range is.

DD2 had her baccaulaureate running exam today. It has rained all afternoon but she says it went OK. I do wish that child could catch a break. DD1 had glorious sunshine of course.

motherinferior · 24/11/2015 16:09

Jo Malone does a beautifully packaged mini bath oil for £15...but I got that for her birthday Grin

cressetmama · 24/11/2015 16:18

Hello all; I haven't gone far........

Can't help on nice bath oils, but if your sister likes scented candles/reed diffusers, the ones from melt are very lovely. The Forest candle smells like a very fresh Christmas tree and lasts forever.

motherinferior · 24/11/2015 16:40

Ooh, I love scented candle!

motherinferior · 24/11/2015 16:46

I also dragged MrsS into this shop recently.

herbaceous · 24/11/2015 17:22

How about this one, a mere EIGHTY SIX (86, LXXXVI) POUNDS

motherinferior · 24/11/2015 17:31

NUFC69 · 24/11/2015 18:23

I can't remember when I last had a bath either. MI, how about L'Occitane? Lovely stuff (I got a great deal from Debenham's the other week for my DSis, a Coffrey which was half price, so £25). Not sure what else they had.

Just taken the DGC home, the Centre for Life was great. DGS has words in his Christmas nativity (proud grandma emoticon).

Off down to Midlands in the morning. Have a great birthday, Herbs, if I don't log on until the weekend.

motherinferior · 24/11/2015 18:38

Words!!!! You must be bursting with pride.Smile

BeachysFlipFlops · 24/11/2015 18:47

My elderly aunt gave me Floris lily of the valley bath/shower gel, which was super lovely. I'm not very good with oils as I can't be bothered to scrub the bath afterwards!

BeachysFlipFlops · 24/11/2015 18:48

But scented candles, I swear by Zara Home ones, which fit in your budget and are reassuringly large.

NUFC69 · 24/11/2015 18:48

Grin MI. His DSis, 2.7, is word perfect as well.

bigTillyMint · 24/11/2015 18:48

Awww NU, hope you have a box of tissues to take!

I splashed out on a salted caramel reed diffuser from TescosBlush it smells delicious in the bathroom!

Collymollypuff · 24/11/2015 19:37

Rose, lovely to see you back on here, and good to hear you're bearing up. Thanks

MI, how about Olverum?

www.amazon.co.uk/Olverum-bath-Oil-125ml/dp/B00X7LZ0IQ/ref=sr_1_1?s=beauty&ie=UTF8&qid=1448393577&sr=1-1&keywords=olverum+bath+oil

They've just re-branded it - previously it was marketed as a bit medicinal, in a Germanic kind of way - but I like it. It's herby. £23.

magimedi · 24/11/2015 19:54

Lovely to have you back here, Rose. Hope you are not too exhausted.

NUF - DGS sounds as if he is a Star.

Amazing the love that those GC arouse in us & give us back - I know I am a bore about PFGC but she is the best thing that has happened to me in years.

So much so that DH & I are having "talks" about moving to France!!

Lalsy · 24/11/2015 20:14

Aw NU Grin.

Magimedi- keep sharing - it is lovely for us teen-tusslers to hear!

That site is lush MI, but does Barn Dance smell of mansweat, testosterone, what?

bigTillyMint · 24/11/2015 20:19

Lalsy, that's exactly what I wondered Grin
