Marks and Spencer strikes again!

My tall, skinny, blonde DD age 17 would look fab in that with some chunky ankle boots. But she wouldn't wear because it is pink! On most people it would be vile.

SisterNancySinatra · 19/10/2015 13:25

Perhaps it's for people who fancy dressing up and walking around as the Queen for the day .

ZaZathecat · 19/10/2015 13:29

Sister Grin

Helenagrace · 19/10/2015 13:35

sister my first thought was the queen and then I remembered even she has moved on from dresses like that!

That is hideous Shock

christinarossetti · 19/10/2015 13:47

How on earth do these creations get past the 'ideas' stage?

M&S need a check at an early point in their production control with exactly the title of this thread.

'Yes?' - check again with some real people.

'No?' - chuck the 'design' in the bin

Would save thousands.

Tory79 · 19/10/2015 13:48

It would definitely suit my 92 year old gran, just her style!

SaskiaRembrandtWasFramed · 19/10/2015 14:29

It looks like something they found in the Hyacinth Bucket section of the BBC wardrobe department.

Quornmakesmefart · 19/10/2015 14:53

Ew!

The 'Autograph' range has always been a bit 'Maiden Aunt' though hasn't it?

FannyFanakapan · 19/10/2015 14:58

this monstrosity from Zara. I saw it in the shop on Saturday. Its even more hideous in RL. Clearly there is a conspiracy to make "frumpy elderly maiden aunt" a fashion thing.

Georgiesgirl · 19/10/2015 14:58

I quite like it! But no, it wouldn't look good on me

buntyfly · 19/10/2015 14:59

Like something my great great grandmother would have worn. In another colour

LineyReborn · 19/10/2015 15:01

Les Coker possibly might do it justice.

MuchasSmoochas · 19/10/2015 15:02

I like it too! In fact I noticed it in store at the weekend. The material didn't feel great, and my boobs are too big. However if you were slim on top and tough up your hair and makeup then I think it would look fab.

Every1KnowsJeffTheJerkOlantern · 19/10/2015 15:04

Lawks! My nan had a house coat in a similar pattern!

BelindaBagwash · 19/10/2015 15:13

Truly awful - looks like something Hinge and Brackett would have worn

VulcanWoman · 19/10/2015 15:14

I just clicked the link, now it's haunting me at the side of the screen.

LineyReborn · 19/10/2015 15:18

Me too, Vulcan. It's my main banner advert now. Exciting.

PeterParkerSays · 19/10/2015 15:22

Would be fine on Miss Marple, just needs a touch of tweed.

ALittleLemonTwist · 19/10/2015 20:32

I quite like it actually! Can imagine someone like laura bailey wearing it with some black ankle boots and black leather jacket.

sugar21 · 19/10/2015 20:36

Well that little number will be going in the sale won't it

EmmaWoodlouse · 19/10/2015 20:42

I think LemonTwist is on to something: the only way of salvaging it (if you had exactly the right colouring to carry off such a cool shade of pink) would be to rock it up a bit with leather and things that kind of clashed with it.

nancy75 · 19/10/2015 20:46

M&S didn't help by pairing it with a hideous princess anne style handbag!

As a ten I wore stuff like this with dm boots and leather jackets and it looked great - if i did it now i would look like i had escaped from somewhere and was wearing my nans curtains

travailtotravel · 19/10/2015 21:46

See this is the problem. We all click to see, and they get viewing spikes and think 'ooh that's popular' ...

We are responsible for the demise of M&S.

BastardGoDarkly · 19/10/2015 21:47

Holy shit that's awful.
