I had a dress like that in plain pale grey georgette back in the 1980s, it was by Albert Nipon and I thought it was incredibly sophisticated at the time

Yes, if you look like the model. I'd look like a loon. I quite like autograph because in my head I'm tall and thin, but I never actually try any of it on...as the one time I did I had a rude awakening.

When I was teeny (before I started school) my dmother wore something similar in duck egg blue. I loved her in that dress and thought she looked so pretty. She hated the dress after a while as fashion moved on.

I think a tall teen could dress it up as Lemon said. Meanwhile, I won't be rushing out to purchase it.

Very similar to what my 84 year old great grandmother used to wear.
With wrinkly tan tights and slippers.
I do see that in very specific styling situations it could look " rock grunge " but I think you would need to be very tall to pull it off.

Actually I bet my niece would wear something like that although I doubt whether she shops in Marks and Spencers and she wouldn't style it like this. She's also 6 foot tall with no hips.
