Done with Lush's henna (Caca rouge). I look like I am wearing a Guantanemo Bay uniform on my head.

The girl in the shop DID warn me it was bright, but would I listen? Oh no. I was all 'BRING IT ON, I want to look VIBRANT for the autumn'.

PLEASE HALP!

Wtf? That shows you really should not shout on the Internet. I meant hair, obvs.

squoosh · 16/10/2015 15:43

Shove your own hailstones up your %$^&*

shovetheholly · 16/10/2015 15:50

Hahahahaha Zebra!! that made me laugh out loud Grin.

OK - plan is: go out as is. I have checked and we are booked into a dark corner of the restaurant Grin. The waiting staff tried really hard to sound understanding and not to laugh at my plight.

Then... try the olive oil and coconut oil treatment tonight - I have both, so can do this and see if it tones it down tomorrow.

Then... wash my hair with the strongest thing I can find in the house (possibly Aldi washing up liquid).

Then... if that fails, either give up and drink gin, or (if I can be arsed) do another darker henna.

And YES it is Cole and Son wallpaper, you sharp eyed folk!

I am intrigued by colour B4. And by the idea of smelling of sulfur. That would be kind of awesome for Halloween.

I'm not that flexible Squoosh Sad

shovetheholly · 16/10/2015 16:17

I think hailstones would go all melty. It would be like a slushy enema. Grin

How did we get here again?

OP posts:
TheSpottedZebra · 16/10/2015 16:22

Of course, I then googled ice cold enemas (why wouldn't you?!) and one of the top results was a link to a published paper called: Cold saline enemas in priapism - a useful tool for underprivileged

Good to know.

shovetheholly · 16/10/2015 16:43

I think my hair might have the same effect. I see what squoosh was getting at now Grin.

Seriously, though, THAT'S what happens if you fail a medical credit check??!

Seriously, it's lovely. Keep it!

MerdeAlor · 16/10/2015 17:02

I love your hair colour and had the same for several years. It's a warm and cheerful colour.
The colour won't last long though as sadly these tones fade very quickly.

KingJoffreyLikesJaffaCakes · 16/10/2015 17:05

I like it.

And your eyes are really pretty.

CordeliaFoxx · 16/10/2015 17:08

It's nice, very Miranda SATC.

I have a feeling you can't use colour B4 on Henna, plus it tends to leave your hair orange anyway if you have red/orange times in it.

Archer26 · 16/10/2015 17:10

Oh it's fine! I was expecting big something much more lurid. It's bright but not in your face bright. Funky.

I'm off to dye my hair cherry red in a bit so hoping that goes well.

Also totally not important but I have the same wallpaper Smile

TrionicLettuce · 16/10/2015 17:18

I wouldn't do anything with it for at least a few days. As Isadora says henna does go bright orange at first but it will calm down over the next few days. I use henna and I always have a "Holy fuck!" moment when I first see it after it's dried, even though I'm expecting it Grin

Give it a few days then re-evaluate. If you're going to carry on using henna then I'd really recommend buying the powder and mixing it yourself. It's far easier than faffing with those blocks from Lush and you can use a combination of henna and things like indigo to get different shades.

For what it's worth I think it looks lovely!!

CreviceImp · 16/10/2015 19:30

Thought it was going to have a touch of the Russ Abbott but it looks great.

Whack on some red lippy.

CreviceImp · 16/10/2015 19:33

Ps if you really don't feel comfortable you can dye over it with a darker shade as Lush doesn't contain metallic salts so it won't melt or turn green.
