Do these shoes say sassy or granny?

I've ordered these shoes and they're ridiculously comfortable. This now means that I wondering if they're aimed for the older market? I googled them and they're sold on fiftyplus.co.uk.

I'm also not used to wearing flat shoes and these feel a bit like slippers.

DH says they look lovely. What do you think? It's the rubber sole I think I'm doubtful about. I'm mid-40s so it could go either way and I'm not sure if they'd look a bit frumpy on me.

Oh, no, I don't like them at all, sorry.

Paddingtonthebear · 13/10/2015 20:46

Umm I'm 39 and they look frumpy to me, sorry

cansu · 13/10/2015 20:47

I think it will depend what you wear with them. They are certainly not sassy, but then again they look comfy and smart so will probably be fine if they are for work or everyday wear. I have just bought a v comfy pair of flats for everyday wear and one sassy pair of heels for a more glam outfit.

FairyBiker · 13/10/2015 20:47

Definitely granny, sorry

Stylish comfortable shoes are like unicorn piss (bitter voice of experience)

NotTodaySatan · 13/10/2015 20:48

Great great great granny.

Tornfacedcunt · 13/10/2015 20:48

I think my gran would like them, she's 87!
They look a bit slipper like and a bit frumpy

Openup41 · 13/10/2015 20:48

They say 'granny' to me.

nilbyname · 13/10/2015 20:48

They are bad on the style front. But if YOU like them then keep them!

SurferJet · 13/10/2015 20:49

100% granny.

ThreenageMutantWhingerTurtle · 13/10/2015 20:54

My 80 year old mother would turn them down for being too frumpy, I'm afraid!

chicaguapa · 13/10/2015 20:54

Ha! My instincts were right then. I'll never listen to DH again. Grin

Roll on winter and boots weather. It's so much easier.

Thanks all.

Completely granny!

PassiveAgressiveQueen · 13/10/2015 21:09

Granny

cuntycowfacemonkey · 13/10/2015 21:13

Oh dear they look like the sort of thing you would pick on the way to get a new cardy from the Edinburgh Wool Mill

Dowser · 13/10/2015 21:16

I'm a granny and definitely wouldn't wear them. Should be ok to garden in though ;-)

Glitterspy · 13/10/2015 21:17

Nope, totally granny. Sorry. It's the shape and material of the sole/heel and the cut of the upper - the leather to sexy bare top-of-foot ratio is all wrong.

DinosaursRoar · 13/10/2015 21:17

cuntycowfacemonkey (love typing that BTW! Grin) has it exactly.

PoppyBlossom · 13/10/2015 21:27

Only a granny would want sassy looking shoes.

Creatureofthenight · 13/10/2015 21:28

Granny

Costacoffeeplease · 13/10/2015 21:43

I'm 50 (not a granny) and even I think they're granny....enough saidSmile

Scarletforya · 13/10/2015 21:46

Dear God! Granny. Very, very granny.

Pullingpants · 13/10/2015 21:47

I like them, sort of comfy, but not high at the front. I am in my fifties though Grin

eurochick · 13/10/2015 22:05

Granny!

CoconutAmericano · 13/10/2015 22:32

They are an insult to grannies!

MsRinky · 13/10/2015 22:47

Well if you wore them with beige tights,a polyester skirt and an apologetic face and going on about comfy shoes, then yes, granny.

However, I could totally rock them with the right outfit and a smile that says "fuck you if you think my shoes are granny". So it depends whether you've got the nerve. I suspect not if you need to run them past a bunch of vipers.
