Especially on misty mornings when you are at work all day.
No seeing yourself in the loo mirror at lunchtime looking WILD.

I like the white Elnett as its less scented and apparently ' flexible' Hmm

it does take a while to get used to leaving your hair alone tbh too

I love Elnette , it's the only hairspray I use . It's invisible, non sticky setting powers are superb!
I have my hair in updos at work and it keeps it in place all day no matter how much I am on the go.

theres an E On it!!

You can get an unscented version. Not easy to find tho. The ordinary stuff is really strong smelling.

BrendaandEddie · 24/09/2015 07:34

i have long ish hair and its GREAT at stopping me looking like Bruce Forsyth

Snorting coffe at Bruce F.

lurkingabit · 24/09/2015 07:40

Coffee clearly. Moody autocorrect.

sassytheFIRST · 24/09/2015 07:44

Hate the smell tho. Proper old lady scent. White one less scented, you say? Will give it a whirl maybe.

(Returns to 14year old self, spraying Impulse into lids in Superdrug and inhaling deeply)

FelixFelix · 24/09/2015 07:49

Do you use it even if your hair isn't in an up do? I only buy it very occasionally because it's dead expensive but I always regret switching to a cheaper brand if I do!

DiamondoInTheSky · 24/09/2015 08:00

It's just a hairspray isn't it? Confused

ggirl · 24/09/2015 08:04

love it as well
tried some tresemme stuff but my hair was like cement

BrendaandEddie · 24/09/2015 09:41

I have picked up the large cans in clearance in Wilko recently for £2.49 , bulk bought them! It was the cans with Cheryl FV on the front .

I always keep my eyes peeled in Superdrug too as have had ' Yellow label' clearance Elnette in there too .

Totally " worth it" for the natural effect it gives Grin

I love hairspray and Elnett is expensive shite, couldn't hold down a fruitfly. Pantene Perfect Volume is where it's at - it keeps everything in place all day and is the least sticky spray I've ever used.

polyhymnia · 24/09/2015 09:55

Another Elnett fan here. I always get the in scented one with the green band round.
Haven't found it very hard to track down in local Boots. Doesn't seem very expensive and Boots have 3 for 2 at moment.

BrendaandEddie · 24/09/2015 10:25

Tesco only sell the small white one

OP posts:
BrendaandEddie · 24/09/2015 10:26

The scented one was used effectively in 'Nam

OP posts:
BrendaandEddie · 24/09/2015 10:27

I might tarry with Pantene if you say so

I've re-embraced hair mousse after having dismissed it as being terribly 1980s.

TheDowagerCuntess · 24/09/2015 10:34

I use mousse before BBHing my hair, and it's a revelation.

squoosh · 24/09/2015 10:36

Yes me too! I'm using the Boots own brand one as recommended by Sali Hughes.

BrendaandEddie · 24/09/2015 13:05

Mousse too? I'm on oil

Why don't we get more Beauty product tests on here? We'd rock them

I'm re-embracing boots essential curl creme ...although I use it when I blow dry my hair straight ...brilliant at stopping the frizz
