Anything but the C-word!

I concur with Mrs S re your lips, MI. No thoughts of 'haggard' here. Other than my own visage, natch.

Stropperella · 27/09/2015 13:09

On the bus back to Waterloo after a sumptuous breakfast out with the kind and lovely BTM. It was a great night last night and I very much enjoyed seeing everyone although didn't manage to speak to BD, MI, Rudy or MI properly. Next time!!
Brain is feeling a teeny bit mashed today, so am welcoming the prospect of staring into the middle distance for quite some while on the way home.

Blackduck · 27/09/2015 16:10

Dos Stropp - just never connected - but yes next time!

Cremo · 27/09/2015 16:41

Yes I'm so sorry Herbs, I somehow just expected the time to go on And on, and that I would shimmy down to you eventually.. Next time lovely hair lady!
Re red lippy,MI I think you have to keep it up, a) because it suits you and b) because it's you trademark.Smile I had a good study of Mac lippy colours this morning on the way through the Gatwick Shopping Experience. I was half looking at a rusty colour for Autumn and settled on Viva Glam 1. It's a bluish coral rust. For something different would you consider darker ? There's a fantastic plum shade that's good for those of a paler skin:Rebel?
It would be really dramatic on you.

Yes work is hideous, but quiet until 8pm thankfully.
I just would like to lie down.....

Stropperella · 27/09/2015 16:53

Still not home. Waiting for a train at Bournemouth now. Yawn.

Collymollypuff · 27/09/2015 17:08

Sorry you're not home yet, Stropps. Sad Lovely to see everyone, and yes, huge thanks to BTM. Cremo, you must stay at our house next time, now we've discovered we have so much in common, eg dhs' mindset. Smile Srsly. I was up my pear tree this afternoon, thinking about your goats. I like your red lipstick, MI.

We still have lovely weather here - so sunny.

bigTillyMint · 27/09/2015 17:11

Oh God Stropps, what happened?

What a lovely night - particularly the cocktails all of you guys!

Just been for a walk in the sun and coffee with friends, and DS is weeding the front garden for a tennerGrin

CointreauVersial · 27/09/2015 17:40

MI, definitely stick with red lippy. I was just thinking last night how well it suited you, funnily enough. I can't wear it at all - lips too thin, and colouring too "soft".

OP posts:
Cremo · 27/09/2015 17:56

Molly it is sunny here today too, which means the goats will stink( if that doesn't put you off goat-herding nothing will)WinkAnd thanks so much for the offer of a place to stay-you are kind.and yes re dh's cut from same clothSmileConfused

motherinferior · 27/09/2015 18:05

I shall stick with the lippieSmile. DP got up early and went off for a drive. Then he came back and roasted a chicken, and suggested another drive (Inferiorettes were out exploring the riches of Claire's in Lewisham). So we took a spin with the top down into KentGrin.

bigTillyMint · 27/09/2015 18:27

MI, you seeWink

Stropperella · 27/09/2015 18:29

Oo-er, very racy, MI Grin And Yay to sticking with the red lippy. I am totally Envy of your ability to rock it.
Finally arrived home at 6pm. The bus from ED was slooowww, BTM, and I missed the 1.35. So had to get the 2.35 from Waterloo, and then a bus. And then another train. Ahhhh, the joys of Sunday travel.
Got home to find the lawn is covered in noodles, as dd threw ds's lunch out there because he told her she has a fat bum. Can I come back to London, please??
Grin

hattymattie · 27/09/2015 18:37

Glad everybody had fun last night - any pictures?

Gosh Stropps - they're very latin round your way - chucking pasta and things.

Today we had the "day without cars" in central Paris so we could walk right down the Champs and the Rue de Rivoli. It was just fabulous how the city feels so much less stressful without the roar of traffic and everybody relaxed, walking and biking. Lovely weather for it as well.

bigTillyMint · 27/09/2015 18:41

Oh no Stropps, sorry about the slow bus but at least it saved you from the DC

Hatty that sounds like a perfect day in ParisEnvy

Stropperella · 27/09/2015 18:58

Hatty, that sounds glorious.
I would like to say I am also envious of Ggg's ability to rock a red lippy. And of many Crepey haircuts.
Just realised I didn't get to have a proper chat with CV either!
Btw, you lot did not see me last night. I absolutely was not in London. I was at home. (don't want FB to know that I wasn't at home, as various family members who were in Belgium will be cross Blush)

bigTillyMint · 27/09/2015 19:14
Wink
Collymollypuff · 27/09/2015 19:28

I ain't seen yer, Stropps.

Stropperella · 27/09/2015 19:31
Grin
Blackduck · 27/09/2015 20:17

So you Stropps and me and CV at the next one!
And yes GGG rocks the red and the whole look ... (Slinks off...).

My god ladies we are amazing. Every time I meet up I realise how amazing we are - we aren't we running the country? (Assuming we'd want to..)

Lalsy · 27/09/2015 20:24

Nor me, Stropps. Will claim ignorance in all directions [taps side of nose, wishes had bought squashed comedy spy coat].

Blackduck · 27/09/2015 20:31

Stropps? Who?!

MrsSchadenfreude · 27/09/2015 20:33

I don't know about you lot, but I am feeling exhausted. DD1 pitched up around 0040 last night and we threw ourselves on the last bus. DH always sets the alarm to go off at 0600, even at the weekend, so I had about 4 hours sleep (I can't sleep through an alarm, and I can't get back to sleep easily either). I had a nap this afternoon, but it didn't really help.

No-one had any idea what they wanted to eat today, so I just made macaroni cheese, and ignored moans of "always eating the same thing." I said weeks ago at the weekend that if people chose a cookbook from my vast collection, I would cook something from it (this is risky, my collection contains such gems as "White Trash Cooking" and "Korean Home Food" Grin), but no-one has taken me up on the offer. Roasts and casseroles are "dull" and people are "tired of curry." Angry DD1 and DH are getting shouty over the visa form (which I suggested that DD1 looked at last week, to make sure she had all the details she needed, but no, we are looking at it on Sunday night...). I am resolutely not engaging, but will no doubt be blamed if it all goes wrong tomorrow morning.

herbaceous · 27/09/2015 20:44

Bloody hell Mrs S. Once again I am enraged by your family. Setting the alarm for 6 at the weekend? FFS. Refusing your lovely food? Double FFS.

I have done no (zero, nada, 0) cooking this weekend. Ding ding meal on Friday night, tuna and sweetcorn sandwiches for lunch on Saturday (this is compulsory every Saturday, according to DS), dinner with you lot, then Sunday roast at local pub today. I thoroughly recommend this course of action.

I am bushed, also. Too much booze and not enough quality sleep. And have to arise early from now on, to get DS to his 'sparkle' club every bloody morning.

Blackduck · 27/09/2015 20:53

With Herbs - I'd be tres angry...
I got back - curry house not open, late lunch, beer, snacks, wine, don't care.....

MrsS they are our of order - you are not their slave. Down tools.

bigTillyMint · 27/09/2015 20:54

HerbsGrin

MrsS, I too am past caring what they eat. I did a fry-up this evening and it was devoured with great enjoyment. Burgers, Toad in the Hole, pasta pesto and various others all go down equally well. There's no point in me trying to cook something fancy!
