Well I was very puzzled as I thought VW was VolkeswagenConfused. I have now Googled the link and think the jacket stunning although the price is outrageous even on promo.

Herbs you are comedy gold with your coats and good luck with the applicatiob form filling.

Rosebag · 24/09/2015 16:34

I want the jacket.... Envy

MrsSchadenfreude · 24/09/2015 17:06

Oh Herbs, how can you resist? There is just one left, and it looks as if it is in your size... Grin

herbaceous · 24/09/2015 17:27

Sssssh. You're enabling me.

Cremo · 24/09/2015 17:49

Herbs that jacket is beaut. Very very useful too.Grin
But seriously, do you reallly need more outerwear woman? Look in your wardrobe first !
Lol
I am Shockabout the moth population in the south of England! I can't say I've ever been affected by a moth in my life. Certainly not the fabric munching type! Also are there not moth balls still or naphthalene plug ins or such? My clothes ain't got no 'oles....Grin

bigTillyMint · 24/09/2015 17:56

Step away from the computer, HerbsGrin

Cremo · 24/09/2015 18:01

a complete bargain not. But I'd like this.

GiddyGiddyGoat · 24/09/2015 18:02

How do you fit your head, arms and legs in then Crem?

herbaceous · 24/09/2015 18:02

I don't 'need' it obvs. But this is about a luxury thing I'd love and otherwise wouldn't ever be able to afford.

Cremo · 24/09/2015 18:05

Fnar GGGWink

bigTillyMint · 24/09/2015 18:17

Tis true Herbs.

Lovely pully, Cremo. But £££!

MrsSchadenfreude · 24/09/2015 18:22

I got a cashmere Boden sweater in pink for £35 in the sale. And paid about the same for a cashmere cardigan, which I can just about bring myself to wear some days, as the colour of the buttons blends in quite nicely with the cardigan itself.

I urgently need a haircut. There is a swanky new Saks salon near me. I have tried calling repeatedly today to get an appointment but it either rings and doesn't answer or I get "the person you have called is aware that you are waiting", ad nauseam, and then "the person you have called is too busy to take your call." Don't think they'll be there for long at this rate. Now I know why it never looks busy.

hattymattie · 24/09/2015 19:58

Well I went for a haircut and to cover my grey hair. It seems to be rather darker than usual. The trouble is if I go too light it washes out of the greys too easily. I am a bit taken aback at how dark it is though - as are the dc's. I'd better wear some warming make up tomorrow

Lalsy · 24/09/2015 20:11

Wooo hooo crepesters, I have nailed multiple jellies to the wall and I can come on Saturday night - ds has graciously agreed to go to the theatre! If I can be accommodated that is.....BTM, should I do anything? (If I can make drinks too I will but assume numbers less vital for that).

herbaceous · 24/09/2015 20:19

Due to trains being up the spout, I probably won't be coming early for drinks, but will defo be there for tapath.

Doing YET ANOTHER job application, and frankly losing the will to live. My personal statement is a steaming pile of ordure.

CointreauVersial · 24/09/2015 21:50

Yay Lalsy! You can perch on my knee if need be. Grin

I have just done something decisive. Minor but decisive. I am supposed to be helping on the PTA table serving tea and cake on Sat morning at school (Monty's coming). There was an email asking us to make cakes.

I've just added a perfectly nice chocolate loaf cake to the Ocado orderSmile. I have a job, and am due to spend the rest of Sat in the British Library before meeting you lot. I would like to spend tomorrow with a glass of rose and a book/mindless telly, not making even the easiest of cakes.

herbaceous · 24/09/2015 22:17

Fret not rudy. It's inly my little suburban trundler that's being 'improved'.

Cremo · 24/09/2015 22:18

Yay Lalsy, good on ya and the jelly nailing! Pleased you'll be there.
Erk, trains up the left Herbs? I hope that Thameslink isn't . Just bought a ticket online innit?
Muy bien re tapas.

The Pilates lady says I have marvellous 'strength and flexibility' in my leg. ( singular) The other one is still limp and jittery. Wasn't staggering as much as usual after today's class.

MrsSchadenfreude · 24/09/2015 22:22

I am looking forward to tapath. Fantathtic.

DH is taking DD1 to sort out her Russian visa on Monday (hoorah!).

I must wrap her birthday presents.

Stropperella · 24/09/2015 22:22

Hooray, Lalsy!

Ah me, I had to bother the NHS once again today, as dd has been wailing and moaning about stomach pains for the past 2 days. Turns out she now doesn't get on with ibuprofen. She's had it a zillion times before. Why is it causing a prob now? She refused to go to the dr or to ring the surgery. So I had to ring the surgery, then GP spoke to me first, but insisted he needed to speak to her - as she is 17 and obvs an adult (he has known her since she was 4 and knows her history). She refused. I hope he heard the argument. (He can't not have, really)
Me (holding the phone): The dr needs to talk to you. Because it is your stomach that is the issue.
dd: No. You do it.
Me: No, he won't speak to me.
dd: No, can't speak to him. Too tired. You do it.
Me. No, he won't speak to me. You have to speak to him. Take the phone.
(repeat all of above at least twice)
dd : Nooooooooo
I give her phone anyway.
dd: Hello. Yes, I've hurt my leg and now the anti-inflammatories are making my stomach hurt.
Me:

I have now been to circuits and subsequently had beer. I feel more... relaxed.

ps: I need to warn you lot that I still only have half a working face. My bruise is still fairly evident, face is still swollen and that side is only working at approx 50% of normal capacity. Soz in advance for looking a bit weirder than usual.

Stropperella · 24/09/2015 22:26

Oh yes, forgot to add the conclusion to the dd vs the nhs story. I have to pick up a prescription for her in the morning, as her over-sized lower leg requires special anti-inflammatory meds for another week.

My life is just one big bruise at the moment. Hmm

Cremo · 24/09/2015 22:33

I'm not much one for Woo herbs and spices , but arnica works magically for me on bruises., .

Will be delighted to see you, black and blue or wearing a purple nightie Stropps.Grin

Stropperella · 24/09/2015 22:42

Have got through 2 tubes of arnica (or "bruise cream, as it's known in our house) in the last 3 weeks, one way and another, Crem. Grin
