I have no idea how to style it, products to use? I don't think its a cut issue as she goes to a hairdresser and she looks fine when comes out of the hairdresser. But I'm clueless what to do with it.

So it's long and straight. She washes it and blow drys it. She brushes it with a paddle brush when she gets up. Neil may be a slight exaggeration but it just looks unstyled....which it is I guess!

Other girls at school have long straight hair but somehow look more groomed.

What does she need? Mousse? Hairspray? Sea salt texture sprat? GHds?

She uses Tresemme shampoo which has helped with the frizz.

She's getting nasty comments at school. Someone said to her yesterday "I spent an hour doing my hair this morning, how long did you spend" in a sneery manner. Do teen girls really spend an hour doing their hair?

Not so, ZZZZZ. I have really thick hair with a tendency to frizz. Thick hair is heavier and as a result it tends to drag down around my face, flattening at the top and generally looking crap and making me look older.

You would think at 34 I'd know what to do with it by now, wouldn't you? Unfortunately, I don't, and I have been watching this thread for tips. Thank you all of you. It's not just the OP's daughter you're helping. No more centre parting for me, and I think I may have accidentally just bought the Remingtons that HellsBellsMelons linked to. Whoops.

And by the way OP, your daughter is beautiful.

I agree, OP what a beautiful daughter!
I can only suggest, in addition to the good advice here, using generous dollop of Moroccan oil on towel dried hair, then drying the hair with a Parlux powerful hairdryer (I have the Parlux 385 Power Light dryer). Really works for me, and I have similar hair...

Thanks everyone. I think she's beautiful, she keeps saying that she's ugly but she so isn't! I keep telling her she's gorgeous.
