Help me keep my bridesmaids warm

I'm getting married in December. My bridesmaids are wearing dresses similar to this

I'm not sure what to get them to keep warm. I think stoles look a bit dated now. I'm wearing a fur coat. I could get the same for them but can anyone think of any alternatives please?

I was at a winter wedding where the bridesmaids had very fine knit cropped jumpers on in the same colour as their dresses. It looked really lovely!

Is a stole the same as a shrug? [bit clueless]. Me and my sis both had the same style shrug over our shoulders at my December wedding. (M&s if I recall) 10yrs ago.

But once the ceremony was over, neither of us kept them on, we were plenty warm enough (but that was a civil ceremony with no moving around outside).

On a total sidetrack, what's your dress like??? I love December weddings!!! I wish you all the very best for it, we had the most beautiful, crisp winter's day, sunshine and clear, starry sky at night.

Yes a stole and a shrug are the same thing I think. It is literally just for travelling (car and then minibus for about 5 minutes!)

I love it but I'm having a fucking nightmare, because I got it bnwt off ebay just after I had my second baby last year, and thought 'Yes I'll be a size 8 again by then no probs.' By no stretch of the imagination am I a size 8, with 15 weeks to go. But I have bought some VERY STRONG underwear today!

Jumpers could possibly work daisy - I think I'd have to see that! I've got a chunky cardi with matching mittens for photos

I like the idea of a shawl actually I hasnt thought of that.
I don't think I can afford to buy them all an £80 fur coat Blush

Beautiful dress!

I had a December wedding, it's a fabulous time of year to get married. I had a red silky shawl/pashmina type thing. Hardly wore it tbh, we stepped outside for a few photos but that was it.

Will you be outside much? It's not worth going to a lot of expense if they really won't get much wear

i would go for a pashmina - as warm as you can afford in a colour that compliments the dress and the wedding colours. Then they can wrap up as much as they wish getting from A- B then wear it just on the arms loosley draped at the back when they walk up the asile.

This is very plain but could work well, a few colours there too and 15% off at checkout too. You'd need to check that it's not a wee one though, I'm no good with inches.

I'd get them a pashmina and ask them to leave them off in church and for photos

Our colours are silver and ivory. I'll be outside for photos between the ceremony and reception, including on the docks where it will be freezing, but they won't be. They absolutely won't wear pashminas, I haven't suggested it personally but I already know 2 of my bridesmaid's feelings about them!
Really liking the shawl idea in particular, I'm looking for a nice woolly one, but thank you for all your ideas, I really was struggling to think beyond coats!

Is go for pashminas.

When I was a bridesmaid, I bought one from an Indian shop for £2 - they had loads of colours.

Have you ever been in a church in December? They are freezing. I would need more than a pashmina to keep me warm.

I LOVE your dresses, they are absolutely gorgeous! It would be a shame to cover the detailing on the bust, so I think I'd go for shawls (what is the difference between a shawl and a pashmina, anyway?) A deep, smoky lilacy grey in velvet or cashmere would be nice with your colour scheme.
