Help me keep my bridesmaids warm

I'm getting married in December. My bridesmaids are wearing dresses similar to this

I'm not sure what to get them to keep warm. I think stoles look a bit dated now. I'm wearing a fur coat. I could get the same for them but can anyone think of any alternatives please?

Yes I have! We're getting knitted woollen shawls from an etsy shop.

Thanks JJJ, I didn't fancy a strapless corsety thing, which was all they seemed to have in the bridal shops.

More great ideas thanks! Yes the ceremony isn't in a church, it's in a (heated) historical building. And obviously the cars will be heated. Those dresses aren't the exact bridesmaid dresses, you can't get them now so I couldn't link, but they're the same colour and very similar.

Some of those ideas are lovely, but a little impractical. A lace bolero with 3/4 length sleeves is about as much use as a chocolate frying pan for keeping warm in December.

I LOVE your dresses, they are absolutely gorgeous! It would be a shame to cover the detailing on the bust, so I think I'd go for shawls (what is the difference between a shawl and a pashmina, anyway?) A deep, smoky lilacy grey in velvet or cashmere would be nice with your colour scheme.

Have you ever been in a church in December? They are freezing. I would need more than a pashmina to keep me warm.

When I was a bridesmaid, I bought one from an Indian shop for £2 - they had loads of colours.

Our colours are silver and ivory. I'll be outside for photos between the ceremony and reception, including on the docks where it will be freezing, but they won't be. They absolutely won't wear pashminas, I haven't suggested it personally but I already know 2 of my bridesmaid's feelings about them!
Really liking the shawl idea in particular, I'm looking for a nice woolly one, but thank you for all your ideas, I really was struggling to think beyond coats!

This is very plain but could work well, a few colours there too and 15% off at checkout too. You'd need to check that it's not a wee one though, I'm no good with inches.

i would go for a pashmina - as warm as you can afford in a colour that compliments the dress and the wedding colours. Then they can wrap up as much as they wish getting from A- B then wear it just on the arms loosley draped at the back when they walk up the asile.

I had a December wedding, it's a fabulous time of year to get married. I had a red silky shawl/pashmina type thing. Hardly wore it tbh, we stepped outside for a few photos but that was it.

Will you be outside much? It's not worth going to a lot of expense if they really won't get much wear
