I love this shirt. Everything about it is perfect for me: neckline, colour , length, material. There's a perfect place for it in my wardrobe. Ihave been searching for one so exactly right.

I covet it. I keep looking at it, like it is a high school crush. Sigh.

I cannot in any way justify spending so much.
What do you want, sartorially speaking, that is out of reach.

LittleMys - top tips for people who don't live in London are to keep an eye on The Outnet or to buy from Shopbop. They are about £150 in the first place, plus if you sign up to their mailing list they do friends and family discounts (they usually do 25% off in October).

I know this is a slightly different shape but banana republic has a khaki silk shirt on sale

I'm there too, now. I want these

They are stupidly expensive.

Nice trainers. That Banana Republic one looks possible. Thankyou.

The bubble has burst on the original one. I ordered it through Next and tried it on today. The fabric is lovely and the button placket actually looks fine irl. The hem though just looks badly sewn and the cut is just odd. It somehow transformed from quite chic, imo, to country casuals when I put it in. All the material from the sides sort of bags round to the front. If it goes into the sale I might try it twi sizes down. I am both disappointed and pleased ... and moving on to Banana Republic!

Have you tried French connection? It was a sea of khaki the other week.

So many windows open on my tablet, so many baskets full. Then I try and ask myself if the quality of my life would really be improved if I clicked buy.
It works sometimes.

LittleMysMoominMamma · 08/09/2015 08:14

Ah Margarita, I've only just seen your post. Sounds like you had the same opinion as me, so better to burst the bubble rather than hanker over something you never got.

Good luck with the search Smile

chanie44 · 08/09/2015 08:23

I totally agree, at least when you try it on, you know either way.

ShmooBooMoo · 08/09/2015 13:10

That is beautiful and a much nicer shade of khaki than usual (if it's not darker in real life). My only criticism is that it does make me think of pyjamas. If you really like it, why not sell some stuff on Ebay or something, or buy and then do a no-spend for a good while?
If it's any consolation, Jigsaw don't seem to sell out of most lines, so if you can wait for a sale you might get it a bit cheaper.

WashPosh · 09/09/2015 21:40

Buy it and eat much less for the following month. You'll look even better in it..

MollyCarpenter · 09/09/2015 23:29

I want, want, want these so badly. If it wasn't for the fact that they are totally impractical and I've just bought Dr Martens Amilita boots for winter, oh and I have buggered feet and can't wear heels... they would be mine. Sad
