If you really like it?

For example, two pairs of the same colour, same style of shoes?

Yep
Dolores doll dress from Collectif in two patterns
Isabella dress from lady v london in two patterns
Eden skinnies in 3 colours

No, because whenever I do I find I don't like the garment once I get it home, or it washes badly, or something is wrong with it and I end up throwing them away. It's like a jinx.

I do sometimes go back and buy a second version of something I've already been wearing for a while. Or spend ages tracking it down on ebay when it finally wears out.

Just bought more of these flip flops on ebay (a silver pair and a gold pair). I have already got a gold pair which I have had for 3 years and have used as house shoes every day. Still in great condition but love them so much that I thought I would buy a back-up pair.

Yep, loads of pairs of the same jeans, two pairs of my favourite snakeskin shoes. Plus the same top in lots of colours

Flingmoo · 03/09/2015 17:26

I have about 10 of the same £2 Primark vest, a habit that started during pregnancy to keep the bump warm, I'm usually a size 8-10 but was wearing these vests in a size 14.

Now I wear them as undies, PJs, or as a normal vest top in summer.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 03/09/2015 17:36

H&M £3.99 vests - I have six and feel the need for more.
M&S 5 pocket jeggings - 3 pairs currently, two identical (pale wash blue). I've gone off the black ones though.
Socks - multiple pairs of Topshop or M&S frilly ones.
Whistles tube skirts - have three and want more but they seem to be doing fewer now.

AimlesslyPurposeful · 03/09/2015 17:38

Yes!

Three pairs of identical black skinnies, two pair of dark blue skinnies and two pairs of light blue turn up jeans all from M&S.

M&S short sleeve t-shirts - Two black and two white as they wash really well.

Primark long sleeve t-shirts - Two red and white stripe. Two navy.

Multiple pairs of Sainsbury's seamless lacetop knickers in various colours. Chuck another three pairs in the trolley everytime I'm in there as I'm stockpiling in case they stop selling them.

I very rarely buy clothes, and if I find a work shirt that I like, I buy two of them every time.

I've got a very small wardrobe, but it does mean I only have it it things that I like and that suit me! But people do think I am wearing the same thing all the time.

Liveinthepresent · 04/09/2015 11:25

Wow I can't believe it isn't just me who does this !
Jeans, shoes, tops - whenever I love something I have an overwhelming urge to buy a back up. dH used to think it was bonkers but think he is used to me now.
I have also just ordered a jumpsuit from Baukjen that I have one very similar too because it has long sleeves for A/W. It is almost identical to the one I found so versatile in summer.
(By the way why is summer past tense so suddenly Confused )

50ShadesOfSummer · 04/09/2015 12:15

I do this all the time! DH used to be Confused but now, if I find something I like, says "Better buy it in all the colours, then".

I also remember the 1980s odd coloured shoes. I remember a friend of mine painting some white plimsolls in two different colours to get the effect.

strongandlong · 04/09/2015 14:18

I've got 8 boden ravello tops in different patterns/colours. Blush

In my defence, I find it really difficult to find work clothes and these are perfect. Light weight, natural(ish) fibres, smart enough, machine washable, reasonably flattering...

strongandlong · 04/09/2015 14:20

I buy the same jeans all the time. And bras. And trainers.

I'd happily wear the same clothes every day if I thought people wouldn't think I was weird.

poorbuthappy · 04/09/2015 14:24

I was going to say until I realised that I have 3 pairs of blue chinos from Gap for work...
