Has anyone got em?

I'm hankering after a pair in dark pewter. Think they'd suit my 'slightly sexy librarian' aesthetic Grin

Are they comfy?

I have 2 pairs and they are very comfy. I love the pewter!

PamPoovey · 27/08/2015 14:18

verenti thank you for being my enabler. Off to purchase Grin

I love hamble oaks. I've got the burgundy patent and tan leather and am planning to add the navy patent to my collection this autumn. As a former slightly sexy librarian (more of an unsexy university administrator these days) your aesthetic is very appealing! Grin

Orangesarenottheonlyfruit · 27/08/2015 17:02

I'm so excited to see this, I bought these online in Navy Patent and are coming tomorrow. Just planning my autumn wardrobe around them.

namechangeforaibuQ · 27/08/2015 17:25

They have pewter? ! I have tan, black and the burgundy. V v comfortable!

PamPoovey · 27/08/2015 17:30

here name change.

I have silver + grey hair so I reckon they're gonna look pretty righteous on me Grin

I have them in matt black and have big feet. DH has said on a number of occasions that it looks like I've worn my husband's shoes to work by accident - he thinks they are too blokeish. I don't care because they are very, very comfy but I am coveting the pewter ones as they would look more feminine. Plus I like shiny things a lot.

RomComPhooey · 27/08/2015 17:32

Damn you Pam! I've just had a look at them again via your link and I'm even more tempted.

PamPoovey · 27/08/2015 17:32

I hear you Rom.

I'm planning to offset their masculinity by wearing with pretty dresses and skirts.

Can't wait!!

Yup. The mushroom coloured ones from 2 years ago.

Stupendously comfi!

ChippyMinton · 27/08/2015 17:40

Love mine, they are a glossy burgundy colour from last year, for my Miss Marple vibe Grin. Going to check out the pewter.

MarvinKMooney · 27/08/2015 17:43

I wanted the mushroom ones! Went to buy them and they'd taken them off Angry. No luck in finding them in the outlet yet (and probably won't).

I have them in cream and a sort of patent oxbloof. Love 'em.

None of this seasons colours are doing it for me at the mo, but I do like the chunky tassled loafers.

MarvinKMooney · 27/08/2015 17:45

Ah. Just seen the pewter. LOVE.

LoveVintage · 27/08/2015 18:08

Anyone worn them with skinny jeans, how do they look?

acatcalledjohn · 27/08/2015 18:13

They work rather well with skinnies. I prefer them with skinnies, not to keen on them with bootcut jeans.

acatcalledjohn · 27/08/2015 18:15

Sorry Marvin. Have you tried eBay?

BikeRunSki · 27/08/2015 18:17

I love my black ones and have just ordered the pewter ones last night. Thinking of getting the navy patent too! I'm a flats girl me.

BikeRunSki · 27/08/2015 18:21

Yes, very comfy.

LoveVintage · 27/08/2015 18:22

Think I will have to get some. Can picture them with skinny turned up jeans and cosy winter socks. Hmm, dark tan or wine, I think.

MarvinKMooney · 27/08/2015 18:24

Several times, cat. Sigh. I sometimes see a size 3 or a size 9, but never a bog standard 6 ..

PamPoovey · 27/08/2015 19:21

That sucks Marvin Sad

Love really living the sock idea. I wore skinnies today with some cheapy new look brogues and they looked fab. It's what inspired me to get a naicer more snazzy pair

Will report back when they arrive!

I wear mine with chinos and a shirt or stripy top for work. Work well with thick tights and skirts too.

BaryMerry · 27/08/2015 19:34

I love love love the Hamble Oaks - I drool over the new colours every season Grin I have a pair in neutral and Matt black (although I secretly wish I'd got patent as they look more mannish than some of the other colours) and they are the comfiest shoes I own. I wore them for most of a city break to Geneva (lots of walking) and they were awesome - not a single blister or rub.

I'm also craving the pewter ones! Or navy patent - I'm wearing a lot of blues/navy but don't have any matching shoes for winter season so they'd be totally justified WinkGrin

BertrandRussell · 27/08/2015 19:36

My dd wore them as school shoes for years. And going out shoes. They were fantastic.

LoveVintage · 27/08/2015 19:52

I think it gets round the shoe/ sock dilemma I have when wearing Converse when i hate that you can see socks, but think it would look quite nice with these, sort of cosy and wintery if you know what I mean.
