Husband says I will look like Prince

I've bought a purple cowl neck dress for a wedding mid-September. I'm worried I will be chilly & wanted a shrug / wrap type thing. Was about to buy a gold shrug and my husband says I will look like Prince.

Gold and purple works doesn't it?! I don't want to spend lots and am struggling to find anything.

I say embrace the whole thing and ask to sing purple rain acapella during the ceremony.

Can I ask if you resemble Prince in any way, aside from the outfit? Eg black bouffant hair, unusually small.

If not, you might get away with it.

Op if you are short with short black hair I would avoid. Plenty of other colours will go with purple.

OP, I have a shrug from Amazon and it's fab and everyone asks "where did you get that" - then eyes me suspiciously when I tell them!

all jokes aside - I'm sure it won't occur to anyone to compare you to Prince unless you have that kind of hair!

Just go the whole hog and go as Prince. Say you didn't realise it wasn't fancy dress.

All the more reason to go for it! Are you petite with a pomp and intricately trimmed beard? If not it should be fine!

Teal can look very good with mauve and purple as I recall, if you don't want gold...

I am on the short side, but hair is blonde and straight. Facial hair also under control. I pretty much look nothing like Prince.

I think I might just have to hope it's a hot day and I won't need anything!
