Thanks for the link Frugal, that looks like an interesting read. I'll add it to my list (almost as long as the list of products I'd like to try Grin ).

I used the fucidin again tonight, spot is looking much better so I'm no longer suspecting impetigo. I treated it the same as the vit c/aha/bha & gave it a 30 minute wait time though. No orange clearasil pad! I'm presuming something to do with the ph of the acids as they're mixing maybe?

I didn't actually wiki it last night -will have a mooch at that shortly.

lucysmam · 10/09/2015 21:03

Hello Hey Smile always room for another!

Good to see you and Renarde having good results with the COSRX bha. I really want to try that one. And the Hada Labo lotion toner - I really like that too!

Renarde, is that the honey sleeping pack? They're releasing a rice one too (may already be on sale, I can't remember). I have some odd flaky patches here and there - maybe using something heavier would help those.

There's a 'make me beautiful' (I think) cream too - haven't looked it up to see what it is yet but the packaging appealed!

lucysmam · 10/09/2015 21:05

Forgot to say as well - I'm loving trying lots of new stuff. I can strip back to bare bones if I have to but I'm having so much fun trying lots of things without spending a fortune & it's actually helped me curb the random spending on 'stuff'.

RenardeRenarde · 10/09/2015 21:21

lucysmam yes it's the honey one, it doesn't feel heavy in the way thick white western creams do, it's more like a thick gloopy gel, but I rather like it!

lucysmam · 10/09/2015 21:49

Thanks Renarde. I quite like the gel-ish texture of a lot of the KB products I've tried so far.

GrinAndTonic · 10/09/2015 22:12

Would anyone want a rose smelling Y zone? If so I have just the product.

Grin Grin! Just why!? That's as bad as the bb cream vibrator.

lucysmam · 11/09/2015 09:47

I have given up on the Skin18 freebie sheet masks Sad.

Off to town shortly, going to have a look for a light cream to temporarily replace snail until I have some cash to try something new.

shereebobbins · 11/09/2015 16:44

I think the sunscreen I used on holiday recently has caused lots of blackheads and pore congestion across my nose and cheeks.

I'm waiting for some cosrx blackhead power liquid to arrive, but I don't know where to slot it into my routine.

A.M vit c serum.
P.M Retin a some nights, glycolic souffle on others. Niacinamide serum.

Tried to keep it short so just named the actives. I do use lots of the usual Korean goodies at night.

Any other recommendations that could help. I haven't had blackheads for years.

lucysmam · 11/09/2015 17:47

Which sunscreen was it sheree?

The blackhead liquid would go after cleansing, before the glycolic souffle if you use on the same night. Then the serum. What serum is it?

Might be a bit much with the retin-a though so I'd skip it on those nights.

What other products do you like?

shereebobbins · 11/09/2015 19:01

It was a La roche posay one. I did overuse it across my nose and cheeks as I tend to catch the sun there and it just stays red if I do. It got binned.

I use the homemade holy snail water
Missha super aqua serum and tosowoong timeshift.

I also use Missha FTE, and I have Tony Moly ferment snail cream.
Not too keen on the snail cream but happy with everything else.

I have a Mizon sleeping pack which I use about 3 times a week.
My skin is the best it's ever been until now.

wickedfairy · 11/09/2015 22:16

To those using the cosrx bha - I really like it, I think it is doing my skin the world of good. I have the whitehead power aha (or whatever it's called) on order, so looking forward to incorporating that!

Just skin definitely looks better since starting AB!!

shereebobbins · 11/09/2015 22:20

Looking forward to mine now. Hope it works just as well for me.

GrinAndTonic · 12/09/2015 11:43

My plastic face mask thingy arrived. It's keeping the mask on but it also is slowly cooking my skin I think.

wickedfairy · 12/09/2015 12:02

Fridge - Hada Labo Gokujyun - is the best!

It is a watery toner thing that you use after cleansing/actives - it prepares your skin for the essences/creams. You only need a little bit and the bottle is big - it last ages! They do lots of other stuff too, but I've only tried this and will definitely be repurchasing (in about 5 years!), when my current bottle runs out Grin

Btw - all the writing is totally Japanese, so you probably want to search and take a pic to match up when buying in store - I've read all the packaging can be similar, so unless you read Japanese you will be completely bamboozled as to what you are buying!

lucysmam · 12/09/2015 12:33

The HL foaming wash in the pump bottle rather than tube is meant to be good too!
Ooooh, and, the HL lotion is available in Hello Kitty packaging...it's a tad more expensive than the regular packaging (few quid I think) but you'll get months and months of looking at the cuteness Grin.

The Biore sunscreens are Japanese - many of those get rave reviews. Some of the Daiso (which I think is their version of a discount store) stuff is rated highly too. I have their hyaluronic sleeping pack & quite like it.

They're meant to be good for sheet mask capsules/travel bottles/stickers & washi tape type stuff too.

Maybe try a reddit AB search for more suggestions - there are more folks over there so bound to be more suggestions Smile

lucysmam · 12/09/2015 12:34

Grin, you look simply stunning! Grin. Does it feel weird? Apart from like you're cooking? I think that's part of the idea isn't it - to encourage the essence to absorb?

derektheladyhamster · 12/09/2015 16:47

I'm thinking about adding vit c to my routine. Can someone remind me about the rules? I currently use retin a and I've ordered the [Cosrx] Natural BHA Skin Returning A-Sol 100ml Toner. I also use the clearasil pads on the days I don't use retin a.

It's all so confusing for my little mind!!

lucysmam · 12/09/2015 17:11

The vitamin c goes very first derek.

So you double cleanse - wait 20 or ph adjuster if you have one - vitamin c - rest of routine (so the clearasil would go next and then your other products).

It seems to be used in the morning most often, leaving evenings for retin-a, bha and aha use.

lucysmam · 12/09/2015 17:22

I need a more cost effective way to buy cotton pads/rounds/whatever you want to call them. I seem to go through a fair few lately!

lucysmam · 12/09/2015 17:23

derek, I should have also said, I think most folks skip other actives on retin-a nights.

FrustratedFrugal · 12/09/2015 17:44

Grin you are taking the serial killer look to a new level! Grin

Japan is a mascara heaven too.

I am travelling to Sicily next week - might take a couple sheet masks as it's still really warm there.

Aldi/lidl do the best cotton pads.
Thanks for the vit c advice. Does the cosrx toner act as a pH reducer? I am incubating another chin volcano. I'm sure there were recommended spot patches?
