Bump. More bargains please!

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 04/08/2015 15:03

I keep bleating on about Perfume parlour on other threads but they really are good.

Nabootique · 04/08/2015 15:13

I made my first Perfume Parlour purchase the other week Dame and I was really impressed. Love that I can get a smell-a-like for the callously discontinued Georgio Armani Sensi.

My recommendations would be pretty much anything from SR Skincare, nSpa Melting Gel Cleanser, Boots Botanics Facial Oil, Bravura Calendula Toner (okay, it's £11 something, but get it on offer! It's fab), Dirty Works 8 in 1 Miracle Cream and Miss Sporty Lash Millionaire Fake Lash Effect Mascara.

Just posted on another thread but the 'essence' brand in Wilko - just got their gel eyeliner pencil (for tight-lining) £2.30 and it's better than the Bobbi Brown gel pots and equal to my beloved Charlotte Tilbury eyeliner. Wanted to stock up just now but the dark brown was out of stock (sob).

Also, tried a couple of their mascaras - the 'I love extreme' was awful and gave me that 'piled it on with a garden fork' look, but their 'multi action' is FAB - a traditional bristle brush (works best for me) and great look... very pleased!

Pointlessfan · 04/08/2015 15:33

Aldi Lacura moisturizer £3.99, it's the best one I've ever used.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 04/08/2015 15:41

Essence brand is fantastic especially the mascara and nail varnishes!

Aldo restorative cream is fab!

m0gz · 04/08/2015 15:43

Another perfume parlour fan here :)

My favourites are as follows:
Cetaphil cleanser
Lush ultrabland
Superdrug simply pure serum and overnight glycolic peel
Clearasil fruit pads
Mua or makeup revolution makeup from superdrug
Holika holika Bb cream applied with a cheap £1 angled brush from amazon that is amazing!
Mizon snail gel
Tresemme keratin shampoo & conditioner & hair oil (only thing that tames my very thick hair)
Lush henna (gives a great auburn red colour and makes my hair lovely and soft)

Currently trying the aldi serum and constantly tempted by all the fantastic things on the Korean thread Grin

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 04/08/2015 16:02

Knitnack - that's the mascara I use, the brush is fab, isn't it?

knitknack · 04/08/2015 16:38

Dame - yes! I like that you can get a more natural look or layer it for more... mascarainess!

I'm wearing it over the lancombe mascara base today - it's working really well. Very pleased with these two discoveries! Would love to hear of any more essence goodness...

Awholelottanosy · 04/08/2015 17:25

Just wanted to add I went to TK Maxx today, they've got lots of discounted goodies in their beauty section! I got a James Read express mask face tan for half price, rosehip oil for £7.00 and Sukin Protein shampoo ( sulphate free) for a few quid, definitely worth checking out.

Dukketeater · 04/08/2015 17:26

Agree with the Aldi Lacura moisturiser.

Dukketeater · 04/08/2015 17:38

Okay bb cream is often under £10 in super drug - also Avon BB is good and Osiris (Lidl) is good if sheer.

DrankSangriaInThePark · 05/08/2015 10:55

I have just broken my MN holiday silence to come and rave about the Superdrug simply serum- it's absolutely amazing and at the moment 2 for £3.50!

I got some on Sunday (having read about it on various threads on here) and it is possibly the best serum I've ever tried. On Sunday I had red patches of rosacea and was looking and feeling all of my 49 years. By yesterday morning I was sitting stroking my own face and marvelling how smooth and soft it feels- with none of the siliconey waxiness or make up rolling that some serums tend to induce.

squizita · 05/08/2015 15:14

Ooh the make up problem really puts me off serum. Will try super drug.

lemonteaplease · 05/08/2015 15:50

Amen to this thread, Amen!

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 06/08/2015 19:38

I bought the super drug serum - seems fab on the back of my hand!!

Dukketeater · 06/08/2015 21:58

I've read some good things about the W7 range being good dupes for Benefit and Urban Decay. Have ordered some bits and will report back when tested...

Paperblank · 07/08/2015 08:09

place mark! I need to come back and study this thread.

Boots "Natural Collection" mascara is very good for £1.99 - I'm using the lengthening one at the moment and it really does lengthen my stubby lashes.

Brilliant thread :)

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 09/08/2015 20:24

M&S own brand-

I bought some of their shower gels (BOGOHP) La Maison de Senteurs (usually £4 so good anyway)
Formula shower gel (to take on holiday) and

A reduced to £3 jar of Formula Moisturiser . Bargain Grin

Superdrug own brand hair dyes are often reduced / 2 for £6 and a better colour choice than Boots.

I do my own hair every 4-5 weeks so it works out cheaper.

SuperFlyHigh · 09/08/2015 21:25

if you're in Sainsbos the Mango Original Source is on offer for 1GBP. quite thick when on.

I did get some great no sulphate conditioners in Boots for under a tenner too the No to range (or is Yes to) but it was Coconut. and there was an aromatherapy one too. when I go to bathroom I'll write the names down.

The pound land have got miss sporty nail varnish available in a variety of colours. I got red mint and pinky peach colour the other day. It goes on lovely and so far no chipping.

IJustLostTheGame · 10/08/2015 11:37

Tonymoly panda white sleeping mask thing. It's brilliant. I'm surprised how good I look in the morning after using it and the pot is irresistible.

Boots curl creme at 1.99. Amazing stuff. I now have frizz free shiny curls without the crispness that mousse does.

Nivea blue pot moisturiser
