I want to try for starters:-

Alberto Balsam Mandarin and Papaya conditioner - have tried the shampoo and it is better than I'd expected...

I have tried Boots Evening Primrose moistursier and its just ok, wouldn't re-use

Oh, and Dove old lady conditioner.

Dukketeater · 28/07/2015 13:58

Marvin try the L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes in the gold and purple packaging

Tweezertastic · 28/07/2015 19:04

Something that I don like is the ladies shaving gel from Home Bargains ( berry smell).its less than a pound but I really don't rate it at all.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 28/07/2015 20:04

Can anybody recommend a nice compact foundation for pale skin, please? Ideally around the tenner mark?

MarvinKMooney · 28/07/2015 21:57

Thanks dukke. Bit the bullet after previous post, and chucked the rubbish max factor one (even though it pains me to burn a tennee like that ).

Bought a bourjois mascara - can't remember offhand which one, but worth a go. Looks good on first try though.

Also bought a bourjois colourband pencil - an eye shadow / liner a la chubby sticks. Picked a lovely mid brown with a bronzy tint (shade 2 i think) and it looks lovely on. It's pretty much smudge free which is a bonus. And £5.99 - a veritable bargain!

Sleek Rose Gold - yes very glittery though a pretty shade.
DD has a cream blush trio from Sleek which is pretty and subtle (I think 2 colours + a highlighter)

FriendofBill · 29/07/2015 11:41

Wayne Goss, make up artist, recommends w7 mascara in yellow tube.

Wotsitsareafterme · 29/07/2015 11:43

Marking place

findingmyfeet12 · 29/07/2015 12:39

After reading all the comments about sleek rose gold I'm worried that I've been going out looking like I've just stepped out of TOWIE Blush

relishingrelaxation · 29/07/2015 14:12

Maybelline colour tattoos are fab, my dd introduced me to these recently and I haven't looked back since! They are cream/gel eyeshadows and can be used as a primer or on their own for a quick eye look, think they're only about 4 or 5 quid and last all day.
Maybelline lash sensational mascara
Collection 2000 lasting perfection concealer
Barry M nail polishes, although not the gel ones, I found they chipped within a couple of hours of wear
Rimmel Kate Moss lipsticks
Maybelline master precise liquid eyeliner
OGX macadamia oil shampoo
Aussie 3 minute miracle conditioner- used this for years and haven't used anything else
Boots essential cucumber facial moisturiser- cheap as chips as is amazing at banishing dry skin
Soap & Glory the righteous butter

Don't get me wrong, I adore my high end beauty products, but there is nothing I love more than having a good old rummage around in superdrug to see what I can find Grin

Just remembered the mini Avene water sprays - £3.50 and perfect for sticking in your handbag on warm days.

Also, their Really Gentle Cleanser is lovely, and less than a tenner (about £8 iirc).

La Roche Posay Barrier Repair handcream is amazing - £6.50. Their normal one for £4.50 is v good too. They've now replaced Aveda for me.

Sodder · 29/07/2015 15:33

White flannels - 2 for 50p in Asda.

Dukketeater · 29/07/2015 15:59

Just thought of another one...

Clear lipliner. Saves you having to have a lipliner for each lipstick

Sodder · 29/07/2015 16:11

Soap and glory ultimelt cleanser. £8 at Boots. Lovely stuff.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 29/07/2015 17:36

Where does one get clear lip liner from? Sounds fab!

Dukketeater · 29/07/2015 19:01

Rimmel, MUA do clear lip liners

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 29/07/2015 19:03

Lovely,thank youSmile

EmberRose · 29/07/2015 19:18

dogwalker75 I used to get Clarins extra comfort Mosituriser as I have dry skin which is prone to flaking. I started using oils instead of creams about a year ago and haven't looked back. I cleanse with La roche posay milk (for dry skin) and then apply a little argan oil with my hands (both about £12) so a little over the tenner. Although the oil lasts ages as you only need a little at a time.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 29/07/2015 19:23

If you like Clarins cream then it's worth trying Aldi restorative cream I'd wager it was off the same factory conveyor beltWink

EmberRose · 29/07/2015 19:24

Ooh there is a new aldi opened recently near my work so might have a look.

MeganChips · 29/07/2015 19:31

Seventeen tattoo me liquid eyeliner is brilliant. It's a fiver and absolutely does not shift. You can sleep in it but it comes off easily with eye make up remover.

I've replaced my beloved Urban Decay one and save a tenner each time.

applecatchers36 · 29/07/2015 19:35

Body shop all in one BB cream but gives a 'glowy' finish not everyone will like
Agree about Loreal nude magnifique BB cream is fab
Also stay matte foundation by Rimmel
Bourjois blushes esp, rose/ gold

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 29/07/2015 19:37

Ember - smell different but the day cream feels just like Clarins. It's a glass jar with a gold lid.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 30/07/2015 16:24

I bought the invisible lip liner- what a great idea! I also bought Collection Extremer felt tip liner in black for 2.99 to tightline with, it's fabulous!

Dukketeater · 30/07/2015 19:24

I love the clear lipliner for sheer or glossy lipsticks and any gloss because a coloured lipliner can look harsh next to them.
