No mineral oil or breakout triggers ilove. Ingredients list here www.fanserviced-b.com/ingredient-translation-sum-37-skin-saver-melting-cleansing-balm/

Another review here: thewanderlustproject.com/2014/12/sum37-skin-saver-melting-cleansing-balm-review/

It really is gorgeous , similar in texture to the Elemis pro collagen balm but smells even better

ScrambledSmegs · 30/07/2015 21:48

ilovetosleep luckily for you, fanserviced-b has done a translation of the ingredients plus handy link to the Cosdna analysis. No mineral oil in the list. Looks pretty good to me!

I know, smells are pretty important to me too. I'm using purely functional products at the moment, none of which have a strong scent, and I feel like my routine is lacking despite it helping my terrible skin become more normal. I would really like to find a sleeping pack with a scent I love, that works well. The Innisfree red wine one works brilliantly but I don't like using it because the fragrance, for me, is ghastly. Like synthetic rotting grapes. Mmm Envy.

ScrambledSmegs · 30/07/2015 21:49

Haha! Amazing x-post! If I hadn't gone to make myself a chamomile tea I'd have beaten you to it, XiCi!

XiCi · 30/07/2015 21:51

Haha scrambled Funnily enough on my way to make chamomile tea myself now Grin

ilovetosleep · 30/07/2015 22:00

haha camomile tea is one of the only herbal teas I can't stand! But that balm sounds amazing. I really love the extortionate emma hardie one which smells amazing. Somehow I don't mind products having no scent at all, its the really synthetic ones I hate. So my ampoules and serums are ok, my Cerave night cream is boring as hell but totally inoffensive. I make up for it with my lovely cleansers and richer night creams (Ren frankinsense or Balance Me face oil). yet to find an AB scent I love but sounds like there are some out there.

lucysmam · 30/07/2015 22:03

I suppose they are pretty much the same thing - I just like the idea of Honey Bomb I think. I'm happy with the propolis ampoule for the moment anyway, it only just came last week so it needs a fair trial & seems to be keeping my face nice and calm.

Look at you two with chamomile tea...I'm supping a Wine through a straw (with sheet mask and hydrogel eye patches!) in peace while dp's at work. He doesn't usually work Thursday so Thurs is wine night here.

ScrambledSmegs · 30/07/2015 22:51

I've found the su:m 37 on 11st for about half the price that it's on eBay for, however I know nothing about 11st and their shipping rates, or how you use it to ship internationally because all I can see is the ship within Korea option. For all I know they'll sting you on that. Has anyone used them before?

In ref to your earlier post about converting to "beautifully scented ... like Whamisa Deep Rich Toner.", I just started using this particular toner a couple of days ago.

While I love the texture (very hydrating, to the point of stickiness), and it's very cold and soothing, I wouldn't say it's beautifully scented. It doesn't really smell much, just mildly of something astringent.

Just to let you know so that you don't get too disappointed! The bottle is very lovely though, and I use the toner both for soothing after acid, and for bringing skin pH down in preparation for Vitamin C.

lucysmam · 31/07/2015 09:41

Looking forward to reading reddit over the coming weeks - a poster is taking the time to do a 'know your skin basics' type series of posts.

I'll be taking notes! Grin

On another note; my face looks very bright and clear this morning. I used a sheet mask for the first time in a week last night Shock so it must have something to do with that - I did nothing else differently. It was only a Savers one too & the ingredients don't jump out as being amazing.

Dd2 has asked for one tonight...I will singlehandedly keep the market in cucumber selling business at this rate. I can't think of anything else I have that is totally natural for using on the girls so if anyone has any suggestions I'd be very greatful Smile

Apologies for double post, I have no idea how I did that Blush

FrugalFashionista · 31/07/2015 10:31

Sorry about the silence, I am enjoying your posts but too tired to type. We are down to the last eleven boxes and I have a head cold so cannot smell anything. I haven't even fetched the RRS order yet - it was too windy and drizzly last night, our post office is on an island - gale force wind.

I bought a magazine last night and received a sample of the Vichy Aqualia sleeping mask - have been wanting to try that.

I love perfume and I love beautifully scented skincare.

StarsInTheNightSky - wow! That sounds very impressive - so happy that you are getting such amazing results!

Buttons sorry about your shark sauce. DIY is sometimes like that. I love to cook and often make notes as I try out new recipes - I just found a stack of old cooking notes from Brazil perfecting banana and mango jams and a bitter orange marmalade (all from our garden!) I had forgotten about them but it took several tries to get them right. Good luck with the next batch!

Oh proteins, I'm disappointed now! The review on Skin & Tonics made it sound like it had a pleasant fragrance. I should have known though - I'm using the Besuty Of Joseon cream (first week of testing) and can't smell this 'floral-bottomed yoghurt' fragrance that Snow White... claims it has. Just a slight generic face-cream smell.

To everyone - you don't have to spend ages writing out my NN, I'll answer to Smegs (yeah, I know, but it's my default signature on MN), Scrambled, SS or any other permutation you can think of. I'm not fussed!

proteins · 31/07/2015 13:47

Smegs

I fell for the toner after reading the SkinAndTonics review too :) She says that it "smells intensely of flowers*... I get that it might be vaguely floral-ish (as opposed to foody or earthly) and I do get the slightest citrus astringent tang. But I don't smell anything else.

But it's a lovely product nevertheless. Tough decision for you coming up.. :)

The KCON convention in LA this weekend looks fun!

Apparently Glow Recipe will have a Pop up booth for testing out the products they're curating, and grabbing extra sheet masks without worrying about shipping and custom costs dreams

FrugalFashionista · 31/07/2015 16:40

Finally had time to pick up my RRS order from the post office. I ordered the Missha Longer Name Ampoule and got a freebie Benton face mask and a bonus pack of five samples. Very happy, this was quite generous as the order total with shipping was not much over £10!

My skin is so happy! Photo attached - I have highlighter on cheeks but no base/concealer (and obviously shed loads of eye makeup because I am never seen without liner) :D
Love the innisfree red wine sleep pack, was worried my skin would get too oily or break out but it just seems very soft

Goodasitsget you are looking really great! I love the wine mask too, have used it almost every night since I got it.

Tried Missha Longer Name from RRS last night. So far so good - my face feels nice and natural this morning, no stickiness or residue.

Sorry about the silly typo in your name

Our monster clearout / move is done! We'll discard the last boxes and bags of garbage, take a few boxes of work stuff to my office, vacuum and wash the floors and then drive out to the countryside to pick up DC who have spent some days there with my parents! Right now I am having a second cup of coffee enjoying the sunny rooftop view from my lovely new kitchen

I am a few days into using CosRx blackhead stuff (thanks Frugal Smile)

I have used it every night for a few days now, no reactions - I think I may have tough skin. How long does it tend to take before noticeable differences occur? I have some sb on nose/chin that I am looking to clear up, but this acid is good for all over the face, isn't it?

I think I will get the whitehead stuff once I come back from my holidays. Generally is using the BHA/AHA combo a good thing to do, just to keep skin "nice"? I don't really know much about using these acids, I have only ever used the odd bit of glycolic before - any advice appreciated! Thanks!

ScrambledSmegs · 01/08/2015 10:51

I got a parcel from Tosowoong this morning. Bee venom essence which I'm really looking forward to trying after my Joseon testing period is up. Most generous array of samples I've received yet! Super Aqua cooling gel, Dr Troubex Sparkling Lotion, Crystal Peeling gel and Crystal Intensive Whitening Cream. All good size samples too.

I also have a leaflet of the whole range, which says on the back that I can claim a free gift (secret) with my next order in a slightly complicated Instagram fashion. Which I am SO doing because Tosowoong are really impressing me right now. Despite the slight 'made at home in my kitchen' feel to the packaging Grin

ScrambledSmegs · 01/08/2015 10:52

Btw, I placed the order on Sunday night. It arrived 6 days later. 6 DAYS. From S Korea.

I used the Tosowoong shop on eBay.

FrugalFashionista · 01/08/2015 12:17

I ran out of my Missha FTE spray and reordered. It is sucha pleasant part of my ritual.

I have pimples Sad I haven't had any for weeks. They are on my jawline so I'm hoping its hormonal but it may be the emulsion or a-sol as that's the only new products I'm using.

Lucy what do you use when you DIY your sheet masks? What do you soak them in?
