What's in your handbag?

I know this has been done to death on youtube, but I want real,views rather than what you're paid to have in there.

I seem to be swapping bags a lot at the mo, and I'm forever forgetting things, so I'm thinking of getting a smaller essentials bag I can just swap over and maybe a parred down makeup bag.

In mine today I've purse, keys, phone, loyalty cards, chewing gum, poo bags, dog treats, anti bac gel, random receipts and notes...

I frequently swap bags too, but the things I constantly carry are: keys, phone, lip balm and purse (loyalty cards in the purse).

Depending on my mood or need, I take an extra make up bag filled with lip sticks, tampons, face powder, eye drops etc. Random receipts and coffee shop napkins that I pick up, accumulate in the bottom of every bag until I have a clear out.

I have wet wipes, wallet phone keys and a large pouch/purse which is your small essentials bag.

In the large pouch is plasters, paracetamol (child and adult), headphones (usually two pairs), foldable bag for life, radar key, spare wet wipes, one of those super dinky super concentrated robinson squash bottles, loyalty etc cards and medical documentation re ds.

Soooo much easier to change bags

I generally have purse (large, all loyalty cards etc are in it), phone, keys, small pack of wet wipes, tissues, water bottle, fold up shopping bag, pens, mini notepad, pouch with mini deodorant / hand cream / paracetamol / mints / lip balm etc, umbrella or sunglasses (or both!) depending on weather. If my toddler is with me, then I'll have a change or clothes for her too.

Purse, keys, phone, tissues and lip balm are the only things I bother moving from bag to bag.

Lipstick, hand cream, 2 x pens, fold up bag, mini tablet, phone, keys, mini dental floss, chewing gum, hairband, earphones. All carried in a bag oganiser insert so easy to move between bags.

And purse. Obviously!

I swap fairly frequently and did get s bag insert to make it easier but it didn't really help as much as I hoped.

That's relatively light for me!

My handbag until recently was awfully messy, my husband always teased me for hoarding things in such a small and mobile space. I've since emptied it and the contents are as follows:

The bag itself is beautiful brown leather with a single strap, had it for over 5 years now and it's still holding together!

I have tried a bag insert. I hated it. I used a clear plastic pencil case for a long time. Now I use a fabric pouch. It has a zip pocket on the front for the first aid type stuff and a card sized pocket for membership cards etc. It is perfect.

I used to carry more but now I keep a go to bag in the car with a few more bits and bobs.
