Hi, I hope I'm not breaching any rules by doing this, if so super sorry and feel free to delete mods!

I am starting out a modern range of children's clothing, tshirts and leggings mainly.

I have had these designs mocked up (waiting on a couple of others)

I've still got time to make tweaks etc and I'd be grateful for any feedback. (Please be kind, this is nerve wracking!)

I understand it won't be to everyone's tastes.....bloody hell I've got a sweat on posting this!

And thank you in advance Smile

(Sorry for the repeats of the tshirts, it's to show the difference of the end two)

I can imagine some of the girls I've taught wearing them but they are KS2 so much older than your target age.

I don't mind slogan t-shirts but I agree with pp that I only like witty ones/twists on classic sayings etc.

I do like the arrow leggings though

GingerFoxInAT0phat · 09/07/2015 22:24

Really? I am quite surprised at that as I would genuinely dress a boy or a girl in all of these.
Perhaps the end one of the top picture which is my least favourite (that's the reason I've got the same slogan in two different designs)

I aren't clever/witty enough to come up with any GrinGrin

i really like them. Shame that 5 to 6 is the top age for so many cool kids clothes though

Artandco · 09/07/2015 22:35

Also consider your market, to me someone who dresses kids in arrows/ star leggings, wouldn't want slogans on the tshirts. Ie if I put those leggings on mine, it would be with a plain baggy wooden jumper.

Not to my taste but they're nice enough and well thought out designs (type font is lovely). They'd fit right in with the trendy-urban-boutique stuff I've seen online. I really like the colours - Boden and Next absolutely do my head in, I like seeing kids in simple, unisex stuff.

Slogans aren't for me but did toy with buying these slogan Ts a while ago because I'm IN LOVE; www.oeufnyc.com/index.php/clothing/tee-girls.html the boys' equivalent says 'boys are sensitive' and I melted.

(but that price tag? Could have a fancy hair cut for that!)

I'd buy them, and I don't usually like slogans!

I do like black, white, strong primary colours and clothes which are generally unisex but not standard neutrals (read beige). I have two boys and they are always in red, royal blue, greens, black, white and grey. Never babyblue/ brown. And I'd dress a girl the same. This kind of bold unisex kids clothing is very Scandinavian -where there is much less of the little girls in pink tutus kind if thing you see in the UK...

GingerFoxInAT0phat · 09/07/2015 22:47

ImNotTheLadies, oh wow I love that! There is a website called cafepress that has an ok tshirt design, I think they are about £16 but have offers quite often. Could easily recreate something similar to that. (I haven't used it but have messed about with the design app thing)

MrsCaptainReynolds, yes they are rather Scandinavian style, I love it, even my home decor is quite scandi.

Thank you :)

I don't like the slogans & I wouldn't dress a young child in black

carrie74 · 10/07/2015 09:24

I wouldn't have dressed my children in then when they were under 5, but now they're both older (8&10), I think they're quite nice. I don't mind positive slogans (or funny ones: eldest has a T with a pic of a cat face that says Meow or Never, which is one of her favourites). I don't know if I'd choose them for my son though.
