Is this dressy enough for a wedding?

Love this dress but not sure if it's dressy enough. Was thinking navy accessories and nude shoes?

Like them both but the first one looks the best.

Roseybee10 · 05/07/2015 19:10

Thank you. Defo making the right decision :-) second one getting returned tomorrow, first one getting ordered in morning :-)

Another vote for dress 1.

pictish · 05/07/2015 19:14

I prefer the second one, it's got much more impact and your figure looks great in it.
I think the first one's a bit bland tbh.

scarletforya · 05/07/2015 19:15

Men tend not to like floral. (Massive generalisation I know) They associate floral with curtains. Neither of those dresses look like curtains.

They're lovely, especially the first one!

WhereAreMyDragons · 05/07/2015 19:16

Can I be cheeky and ask where you're ordering dress 1 from? It's right up my street Grin

Roseybee10 · 05/07/2015 19:17

It's from a boutique near me but I think it's a closet London one but not on their website yet. X

The second one is more wedding-y as well.

CurlsLDN · 05/07/2015 19:20

Love the first one, and I agree with a pp, you'll look much fresher and more chic without a fascinator.
I've been to three weddings this year and worn these pink shoes to all of them, they're v comfy and not too high, so you can still safely carry the baby! www.very.co.uk/shoe-box-lorraine-almond-toe-mid-heel-courts-bright-pink/1458050298.prd
Save money on the head gear and get those instead

CurlsLDN · 05/07/2015 19:20

Oh no just noticed they're now out of stock! Sorry

Itsalldramarama · 05/07/2015 19:21

Another vote for the first one , however you look fabulous in both :)

TheRealMaryMillington · 05/07/2015 19:23

first one deffo, a lot more elegant, and timeless, and not in the least bland, especially with the right accessories (seriously no fascinator)

dh should know not to say stuff like that, his job is to say you look ace, which with a figure like yours you will (spanx or not)

FraggleHair · 05/07/2015 19:24

Ignore DH. The first one is gorgeous and much more stylish.

I'm not a fan of bodycon at all.

Roseybee10 · 05/07/2015 19:28

I'm a definite fascinator girl for weddings sorry. I can't go to one without something in my hair lol.

L0l at scarlet!

Yep my do prefers tight, short dresses.

I've just bought a floral maxi dress and he isn't too keen either!

WilburIsSomePig · 05/07/2015 22:01

Love the first one, not keen on the second. You'll look fantastic in either though!

pourmeanotherglass · 05/07/2015 22:13

Both are OK, but I far prefer the first.

grisclair · 06/07/2015 07:52

I also prefer the first dress. You look much nicer than the horribly orange model though!

TealFanClub · 06/07/2015 08:14

Oh god don't fascinate. So dated

Roseybee10 · 06/07/2015 08:16

Really? Haven't been to a wedding where less than 90% are wearing a fascinator or hat of some sort. I wouldn't feel like I was going to a wedding if I didn't have something in my hair. Surprised by the strong reactions to fascinators here. Maybe it's a regional thing.

TheRealMaryMillington · 06/07/2015 10:57

How about a headband type thing, or a a really good updo with nice bits and pieces woven in. Bit younger and more contemporary, honest.

Roseybee10 · 06/07/2015 11:24

I'll see what I can find. I don't wear my hair up as I really don't suit it.

OP posts:
FraggleHair · 06/07/2015 11:36

If you love fascinators, wear a fascinator! Smile

Roseybee10 · 06/07/2015 12:23

Thank you fraggle. I most likely will lol x

FieldTrip · 06/07/2015 12:31

Agree with the majority. First dress and definitely save the money on the fascinator for bright pink shoes. Sorry.
