Oh and forgot to say, my Bourjois is the right intensity for me (ie, neither too dark or too pale), the undertones are just wrong, warm not cool.

Grin at Algernon!

brittany Shock at using the different coloured bases to make yourself look ill Grin I daren't try one now, just in case!

I'm going with beautynetkorea on ebay for the Dragons Bloody Essence since no-one had any horror stories to relay...egg sheet masks might have slipped into my basket too Wink

TheWombat · 30/06/2015 17:06

Hello! I'm sorry I've neglected this thread for a week - just catching up now on all your news. I've been away in the Mediterranean for a family wedding (it was magical!). Very hot, lots of sun, and I'm glad to say the Biore sunscreen did its job perfectly - no tan / freckles / pigmentation at all. Wahoo!

It was interesting, because I couldn't take all my AB stash with me and of course laid off the Retin-A too. I just took my usual morning cream cleanser (thought the oil one would melt), LRP effaclar duo, and Mizon snail. The interesting bit is that I didn't get a SINGLE BREAKOUT - despite humid climate, multiple daily applications of sunscreen, TOM and a bout of food poisoning.

So now I don't know whether to put that down to a sensitivity to the baby products, or an increase in chlorine in the water, all the change in climate, or something else entirely! I guess the only thing to do is to introduce everything back very slowly into the regime and see if there are any culprits. It has given me a bit of food for thought as to whether so many products are right for my skin. I'm actually a bit gutted because I am really enjoying the skincaretainment part of all this. It is nice to have clear skin for once though!

GrimDamnFanjo · 30/06/2015 17:35

At last my Biore sunscreen from Amazon has arrived.
Also some samples plus Mizon hyaluronic 100 from beautykoreanet.
I'm still waiting for a Missha.de delivery ordered at the same time.
I'm currently testing the missha BB in 21 and have some 13 samples on their way to compare the colour with.

NewsreaderChic · 30/06/2015 18:09

I've been out and about in the sun all afternoon, still no shine! This is amazing, I'm always shiny.

Phantomquartz · 30/06/2015 18:34

I love dragon's blood! When I was travelling in S America you could get neat bottles of it and you could use it for everything - including drinking it diluted in water, putting it on cuts and bites etc. It's amazing stuff.

I've been looking to see if I could buy it neat for ages.

FallenAngel22 · 30/06/2015 18:38

I agree, the no sebum powder is AMAZING! Even in this heat it keeps the oiliness and bay, it's definitely my fave product so far. I have the loose powder but also ordered the compact. Definitely using a sheet mask later as I am currently melting.

ScrambledSmegs · 30/06/2015 18:42

Dear god it's hot here. I wish we had moved already, and were out of London and the merciless, scorching heat generated by so much tarmac and concrete Sad. My parents live in green belt land and it's much cooler there - about 25 degrees.

Insider no-sebum is putting up a good fight, but it is SCORCHIO and I am melting.

Have had to put an air-con unit in the DD's bedroom as their bedroom seems to take whatever heat is outside and add 5 degrees. So that means their room is

ScrambledSmegs · 30/06/2015 18:43

Innisfree. Apple, what is this problem you have with

ScrambledSmegs · 30/06/2015 18:44

and the DD's room is measuring 36 degrees on the thermometer Shock

FrugalFashionista · 30/06/2015 18:58

With the UK heat wave, do you understand now why I am so into sheet masks - definitely doing one later today Wink It has been like that here since May... We took MIL to the Spanish Steps this morning and almost died of sunstroke climbing them up, 33C and no shade and like true tourists we were there at noon Grin The forecast promises up to 37C for the rest of the week but we will be enjoying the balmy Adriatic breezes

I'm also in the Innisfree No-Sebum fan club.

Wombat glad that you are back, the wedding and your trip sound fab! I've observed something similar, my acne went away when I was on a soap + water + Effaclar + mineral makeup routine. Mediterranean warmth is magic for my rosacea, my skin has mostly behaved itself here, the perioral outbreak took place during the darkest part of the year. I wonder whether vitamin D has a role in it? And yes, I am also questioning how much I want to put on my face... Right now, very little!

Mizon placenta cream (I know I know but my skin loved the sample I had) and Missha near skin eye cream arrived today from RubyRubyShop with a ton of samples Grin

ilovetosleep · 30/06/2015 19:42

No Sebum powder definitely going on the wish list! I saw a boat called innisfree today and did a double take. Does anyone know what it means?

I started using Missha longer name ampoul last night. No reaction so far, and too soon to say if its any good or not.

Have a couple of questions about skin type. I still don't know what my face needs! ATM I am on a moisture mission after the sensitivity I caused last month - after double cleansing I use Serozinc, Hada Labo, Sheet mask, Serum, cerave am. Sometimes use an oil too. Anyway, is all of this supposed to completely soak in by morning? Because most mornings my skin still feels like there is product there. Regardless of whether I use oil or not. Is this a good/bad/meaningless thing? I'm wondering if I need all the moisture, but during the day I still get dry patches so I have no clue.

Also, when your make up doesn't stay put. Does that mean the make up is wrong/no good, or does it mean that I am dry or oily? Soaking up the make up or its sliding off? TBH I feel neither overly dry or overly oily. Today I used Holika Holika BB with MAC powder and bronzer. Immediatly after applying I looked great. only 20 mins later I looked makeupless - pale and a bit ill looking!

Is this something I just need to live with?

AmazingDisgrace · 30/06/2015 19:45

LucysMam the cc cream looks scary white at first, I use a foundation brush to buff it and then tap with my fingers, it is magic stuffWink

ilovetosleep · 30/06/2015 19:56

Just ordered some Aura CC cream :) ebay is just too easy...

wickedfairy · 30/06/2015 20:22

Lucysmam - re your question earlier about Beautynet Korea:

I have used their website a couple of times and have bought from their eBay seller/shop (f2plus1) and had no issues with either. All turned up within about ten days, so am impressed so far!

LittleMysMoominMamma · 30/06/2015 20:50

Really interesting to hear about the Tony Moly CC cream being good on pale skin.

I've tried the much raved about Erborean and Estee Lauder CC creams and both turned me a lovely shade of tango! Trying very hard not to buy...

I've also used f2plus1 with no bother at all, again took 10 days to arrive.

AmazingDisgrace · 30/06/2015 21:06

Make sure you get the pure aura not the luminous aura, the latter is very shiny and I didn't like it at all

LittleMysMoominMamma · 30/06/2015 21:11

Ah, thanks Amazing, I shall bear that in mind while I'm browsing not shopping Grin

Phantomquartz · 30/06/2015 21:14

Scrambled your purple amethyst eye liner pencil appears to be in stock on the Holika Holika Canadian website.

lucysmam · 30/06/2015 21:19

Thanks wicked, fingers crossed I have the same sort of experience!

The no sebum powder is on my 'to buy' list...which brands do you all have?

Frugal totally get the sheet mask thing now! Even better from the fridge (I think I need a mini-fridge for beauty related items!)

I have just spray tanned my legs and am going to see what gem I can find to make up my ten pounds. The tan hasn't actually done anything yet so I'm praying I don't end up looking like they've been tangoed - I just want to wear a dress without milk bottles poking out the ends Grin

lucysmam · 30/06/2015 21:22

Tony moly cc is also on the list to try - will look for samples first though, I'll end up swamped with foundation/bb/cc's that I can't use Hmm

LittleMysMoominMamma · 30/06/2015 21:26

Hmmm, I can't find Tony Moly CC cream that doesn't have 'luminous' in the name... am I being a bit thick? Confused

ilovetosleep · 30/06/2015 21:27

oh crap, I ordered the 'luminous pure' cc cream
