Not an order mistake, apparent colour variation.
What accessories!?
Its mid thigh, strapless, skater style block colour....think hot, Barbie pink.
Its for a graduation in September.
In my 20s, 5ft 2 with blond hair (want to avoid looking like Barbie!) . not a fan of wedges.
Trying to think through options before I go through the hassle of sending it back and looking again.

Ooohhhhh I like that dress!
Its a day thing, not a ball.
I'm not after out-and-out sexy but neither do I want dull/boring (no offence to anyone). I've got a strong, bright style and although I'm happy to tone it down, I refuse to loose it (and DP would hate me to change)

Have you had a look on e-bay ? Or vinted ? You might pick up a bargain there ?

AMcoffeeLover · 14/06/2015 19:53

Wow that is nice! Id just worry about the material being too thin and in the cream you'd be able to see everything I would have on underneath....

Could I wear a full or top half body stocking/ lace onesie type thing under the hot pink strap less dress? Or too trashy?

But the V neck is quite low.....my 30DD/E chest might be too on show. although the current dress is strapless its is quite high at the front.
Might look still look ok if I wear a flattening bra....

Tricky budget, I'd be scouring the outlet section on asos or sale rack at h&m tablet.hm.com/gb/products/sale/ladies/dresses_jumpsuits?page=1

AMcoffeeLover · 14/06/2015 20:59

Any thoughts in my idea of a lace body suit under the strapless dress? I'm either a matching pink, black or steel grey

OP posts:
Millipedewithherfeetup · 14/06/2015 21:13

Not sure if the body suit will look right somehow, what about a short fitted cardi? Pashmina?

AMcoffeeLover · 15/06/2015 00:50

Thought of a pashmina but won't be too little?

Do you have a Matalan near you? I bought a beautiful dress from there for £20 recently and it would have been lovely for a graduation

TripTrapTripTrapOverTheBridge · 15/06/2015 07:00

I'd say no to the lace bodysuit thing under, yes it would look trashy.I wouldn't be wearing that dress with anything to a graduation though,it's very teenage clubber/part goer in my mind.

I too would be scouring the sale rails,New Look may have something too

AMcoffeeLover · 15/06/2015 07:50

Will look up matalan, thanks

Boohoo has 20% off and £2 next day delivery so lots there too. This one's nice and bright, you can just wonder Web it if it's miles too long.

nottheOP · 15/06/2015 08:13

There shouldn't be something in those shops or primark!

TealFanClub · 15/06/2015 08:14

Sounds too night club for a graduation

TealFanClub · 15/06/2015 08:15

FOR A GRADUATION
Welcome to mumsnet

AMcoffeeLover · 15/06/2015 12:28

Im just trying to find a way to make this dress suitable.
To be fair I didn't know the dress code and I can't help it that my tits are big Confused and my natural hair colour is blond.
I need help from frugal shoppers, not judgements on how I naturally look Sad .
