Favourite Lipstick

I love lipstick, love it. It's my favourite make upy thing mostly because it looks like you've put in far more effort than you actually have.

So I want to know:

What's your current favourite lipstick/What lipstick do you wear the most at the moment?

What is your favourite lipstick of all time?

What do you want to try next?

Adding your colouring would be helpful :)

So, at the moment I'm obsessed with Tom Ford True Coral which looks far pinker on me then it does on her.

My favourite of all time is Nars Dragon Girl

Next on my list is Ruby Woo which shockingly I've never tried.

I'm a Winter - clear and cool & clear and deep.

Maybelline 'Hollywood Red' is a current favourite, my old favourite is a Benefit one and nearly finished so the name has worn away but I think it's 'Saucy'.

I'd like to try a dark coral shade as I wear orange-tone nail vanish quite often in summer so it should suit me if I find the right one.

I tried Maybelline 24hr lip colour in Cherry Pie recently and while the colour was amazing the way it felt on and how it wore off from the inside leaving a weird bright lip liner effect was horrid!

I've got very dark hair and tan easily - no idea what season I am though - sorry!

Max Factor Rosewood. I always come back to it. It's been around for years.

I have quite soft colouring, Mid brown hair, blue eyes.

The damned by Topshop. It looks purple in the tube but comes out a berry-purple-pink shade, just light enough for all seasons.
I've also been really liking some body shop lipsticks I tried recently. One is raspberry something, the other is a mid-red.
I have very pale skin, dark brown hair and light brown eyes so quite contrasting. I think i'm deep winter colouring?

I don't wear lipstick , I have a small thin mouth so it makes me look 'dogsbum mouth' or 'Drag Queen'

My favourite was the one I wore on my wedding day. I bought a BodyShop collection (in a tin) lipstick 06 but I've bought it again and it wasn't the same colour Sad. Number 06 was a pinky nude MMBB shade.

An M&S Autograph matte in Mulberry , lovely wine shade.

I bought some Superdrug lippies last week (IIRc Collection) 11 and 12 (a plummy pink and a red) nice but not long lasting.

My wish list would be Medieval (Lipstick Queen) , I saw the trio for £12 set in TKMaxx but didn't buy it (tsk) or the Joan Collins compact/lipstck set in Sadie.

Illamasqua Howl - perfect red on me.
Rimmel Kate Moss 08 - perfect neutral
Revlon lip butter Peach Parfait - lovely peachy colour.

I have brown hair, hazel eyes and am white and rosy. Neutral colouring really.

I have so many red lipsticks, but not Ruby Woo. Didn't like it. I do have Russian Red though which is much nice IMO Smile

I like Clinique Black Honey in the winter. Going out lipstick is Mac Russian Red. Right now I'm wearing Jeffree Star in 714 which is a bright coral. I also wear Mua Lilac Belle as it looks great with my purple hair. Oh and if I'm not done up I wear Carmex Berry lip balm.

Jeffree Star does the best lipsticks I have ever worn. I have 3 of his shades at the moment.
Buy direct from his website, deliver takes roughly 7-10 days if not caught up in customs. Each shade is $18/£12 but he does multipacks at a discounted price.
It lasts through eating/drinking/smoking for 18+ hours Grin

You are so lucky with your Jeffree Star. It took me ages to buy one lipstick from the website. Every colour I want is usually sold out. I got an email last Sunday saying another colour I wanted was available but as soon as I got home it was sold out.
I refuse to pay £30 on eBay for a lipstick I can eventually buy on the website for approx £13 Smile

Favourite current - Avon Matte in matte peach.

Favourite all time - urban decay "Jailbait" or Rockalily "mermaid".

at the moment I'm mostly wearing Revlon Pink in the Afternoon, it's nice and summery and feels nice. Also finding myself going for a Barry M gelly lips pencil in the nude shade, it's really long lasting and my perfect natural shade and was cheap as chips. It smells like toffee though which is a bit off putting .

Favourite of all time is Mac Pink Plaid, it's one of the only matte shades I can get on with, lasts all day and has just the right amount of blue tones for me (plus my husband got it for me on a business trip to USA and it makes me feel all loved up thinking of him negotiating the Mac counter with my requests!)

What do you want to try next? I want to get a rouge coco shine from Chanel, not sure which colour though. And I don't live near a counter to look. Shorter term as I'll be at Tesco tomorrow I might get one of those new L'oreal glosses that are replacing the glam shines.

I know its a cliché but I just love ruby woo. Although it's really matte its so versatile - you can just put a really small bit on with loads of lip balm for a really sheer look or you can go full on retro lip linered matte, and everything in between! And the colour is just so fab.

Do urbay decay really do a lipstick called 'jailbait'?!

squizita · 19/06/2015 16:36

YY (or they did a couple of years ago!) it's a toasty nude shade.

I think it's initially the American meaning (which is still inappropriate but means a 'femme fatale' woman who will cheat on her husband thus causing fights and mayhem - frequently used this way in old movies/books) not realising everywhere else it means something much worse!

Follow him on facebook and instagram if you don't already, he always updates with dates of new shades.
