Asian and Korean skincare products seem to be a big thing right now - we are falling in love with quite a few things...

Happy Birthday Scrambled! Only now just catching up with the thread.

One thing I have discovered from using BB samples is the grey tones suit my skin better than my current foundation (I think its yellow toned). I truly thought grey would wash me out but it seems not. Quite pleased to find that out.

bigbuttons · 10/06/2015 18:12

frugal it's amazing the things you can learn about isn't it!? If I wasn't feeling utter crap with sore muscles and temp etc I would crawl out from under my million blankets and give it a go!

Still no sign of my beauty net Korea order. My account page says deliveredConfused. I'll give it a good 20 working days though. Other stuff only ordered last week is already here though!

Tugstonia · 10/06/2015 18:18

Hi all, can I please join you? I lurked on the first thread but didn't order anything and have just read this one and now have a gazillion things on my wish list! Grin

Could I ask a (possibly stupid) question about the Mizon good night sleeping mask to those who have it? What does the 'whitening' element actually mean? Is it actually whitening (ie bleachy)? Thank you!

FrugalFashionista · 10/06/2015 18:22

It means that it contains niacinamide and will very slowly fade hyperpigmentation (sun damage) on your face. I've used it for quite a while and no lifechanging results - but my skin tone is a bit more even these days. No bleach or hydroquinone (prescription skin whitener banned in the EU iirc) in the formula.

Thank you Frugal! That's v helpful Smile

ScrambledSmegs · 10/06/2015 18:57

So... Muji haul.

Light toner - mildly acidic, absolutely no scent, very fresh feeling. I got a massive bottle because I tried it on my jawline and a) no tingling/itching and b) it was about £5.

Mild facial soap which despite the name is soap-free and free of parabens, SLS and fragrance.

Moist Toner - despite being marketed as a toner I think it's more of an essence. It's full of hyalauronic acid anyway. Whoop!
Sample size of the Light Moisturiser - very gentle and doesn't seem to have anything that would set my skin off. Lightweight and sinks in like a dream without being full of alcohol. However as I'm very reactive I thought it best to get the mini for now.
Sheet Masks! But of course.
Unbleached Cotton pads, because they're lovely. If you only buy one (non-skincare) thing from Muji, buy these. So much nicer to use than normal high street ones, and good value as you get loads.
Eye mask sheets. Because I thought they could be fun to soak in something nice, á la lucysmam!
Plus a sample of the facial soap for travel, and a sample of the Moist Essence which I wanted to try before I bought, as the Moist range is a bit more expensive than the Sensitive range. And a box to keep it all in Grin

Buttons - if I remember correctly, my beauty net Korea said delivered only a few days after I bought (I went back on to check something) - I am sure there website says somewhere it will do this and not to worry, your products will be on their way. Mine arrived around 12-15 days, which I thought was super quick.

I have ended up buying the propolis serum, OST vitC serum, Mizon good night sleep mask and the returning starfish cream! I hope they all arrive soonSmile thanks for the recs WombatSmile. I think I use vitC after cleansing then wait 30mins before starting the serums, etc. is that right?

I STILL haven't received my Biore suncream, ordered from Amazon.com. The last date they gave for delivery is next Monday, but I am not holding out much hope... Will chase once that date has been reached. I am running out of sunscreen - where did others buy theirs and had quick delivery?

wickedfairy · 10/06/2015 19:44

Ps my Biore was dispatched pretty quickly, so god knows where that has got toHmm

daftyburd · 10/06/2015 20:24

My Hada Labo suncream was one of the first things I ordered. I ordered everything else on eBay but the Hada Labo on Amazon. It's still not here either.
Happy birthday Scrambled. We used to have a Muji in Glasgow but it closed in the 90s. I used to love a browse in it. Back then I was a stationery addict not cosmetics.
The Laneige BB is very nice. I am just back from a performance by DD's drama group and it was clammy in the hall and my makeup has not budged.

FrugalFashionista · 10/06/2015 20:31

Scrambled thanks for the first impressions! Wish our Muji started carrying skincare too!

Totally knackered. Will slap on some sleep-in stuff and go to bed.

Anyone feel like posting their routines?
Anything to keep me off eBay Grin

daftyburd · 10/06/2015 21:53

I have put a Peripera cushion blusher in my basket. I'm trying hard not to checkout.

lucysmam · 10/06/2015 22:05

Oof! Just in ten mins ago! Tonight will definitely be a cleanse, moisturise, sleeping pack kind of night.

Actually; between you lot, me, and the gatepost; I'm looking forward to cleansing with my new oil! Never ever said that before.

Who was it who commented about me and dp sharing spends? I can't remember...anyway...we do it because in the past things have swung one way or the other & one of us always ended up a bit Hmm . Having equal spends stops that Smile . Obviously if shoes fall to bits or whatever we're not that nit-pickey but generally it works.

CornwallsFinest · 10/06/2015 22:15

I haven't got into a routine yet Grin as I've not received anything. However, with the stuff and samples I have received, along with my current products it goes like this:

AM
Wash off sleeping mask
Missha Snail Cell Renewal Cream (sample)
Biore Sunscreen
Missha Magic Cushion #21

PM
Innisfree Bija Anti Trouble Cleansing Foam
Mizon Apple Peeling Gel (twice weekly)
Vit E BodyShop Toner (will be replaced by Cosrx BHA Toner)
Lioele Seaweed Gel (sample)
Mizon Goodnight White Sleeping Mask

I'm also doing hyaluronic sheet mask twice weekly and waiting on the toner as well as Mizon Snail Recovery Gel which will replace the seaweed.

Tonight I did the cleanser, peeling gel, seaweed gel, mask and a sample of Pandas Dream White Magic Cream (smells amazing!).

I'm also looking at some ampoule or essence to introduce but I'm enjoying the slow introduction at the moment as my skin breaks out when I change products. I'm not sure if it is the products or luck but, although I still have a few spots and one or 2 have come out in the last few days, it wasn't to a degree I was expecting so I'm slightly relieved. Hoping any new break outs will be minimal or slow so I can introduce more as the weeks go by.

CornwallsFinest · 10/06/2015 22:17

Received everything I meant!

lucysmam · 10/06/2015 22:19

Cornwall, what do you think of the Missha cushion? I can't decide between that or the bb cream.

I have a sample of the seaweed that I got today, not got round to looking it up yet. what's it do?

CornwallsFinest · 10/06/2015 22:21

And a thank you to Mitzy, I didn't think to reuse the sheet masks. I've just popped the used one back in the pouch and its soaked up lovely with what was left!

shereebobbins · 10/06/2015 22:34

Thanks Frugal. I suppose I should attempt the reddit forum now.
It took me ages to read all this one.

GrinAndTonic · 10/06/2015 22:39

Cornwall I'm keen to know too. I have both sitting in my watch list.
I just ordered the Mizon snail intensive ampoule too.

lucysmam · 10/06/2015 22:40

wickedfairy, that was how I understood the vitamin c serum - but with a 20 min wait time between that and the rest of your routine.

CornwallsFinest · 10/06/2015 22:42

I think the cushion is pretty good! Gives as much coverage as my mousse foundation despite being lighter. I do use it with the #13 BB cream as a concealer and they work really well together.

The seaweed gel is a moisturiser. Its very light so immediately disappears in the skin. A review mentioned you can use it as a sleeping mask although the consistency is much lighter than the Mizon mask.

CornwallsFinest · 10/06/2015 22:44

Oh, the seaweed gel doesn't smell very nice! Not to me anyway.

lucysmam · 10/06/2015 22:45

Sorry for the little posts - am just reading back now!

Scrambled, let me know what you try on the eye mask sheets. I have some residing in my ebay basket at the mo for next week Grin . Storage bucket was a good idea, my stash is taking over a lot bit.

CornwallsFinest · 10/06/2015 22:49

If anyone has used products by Secret Key, I would be interested in opinions. They have a cheap snail reparing essence I'm interested in trying, 60ml for just over £6.
