I love Brora, great quality and I clicked on this top because I thought it looked gorgeous, but £95 for a polyester top !! Crazy price

That's crazy. You'd get just as nice (in same fabric) at Primark for a tenner Grin

ZaraW · 31/05/2015 14:59

It's lovely but at that price I would expect silk or at the very least cotton voile

Clothahump · 31/05/2015 15:01

I buy something occasionally from Brora. That top wouldn't be anywhere high on my list, it looks comparatively poor value for money, though the quality will be good as with everything else they sell.

TulipOHare · 31/05/2015 15:22

Yes, bonkers. Although thanks for posting - I looked in clearance and got a green silk shirt for £29! ??

It really annoys me when shops charge so much for polyester! Agree that it's ridiculous.

Whistles is a shocker for this. I'm guessing they are pricier here (Aus) than in the UK, but still. (Many) hundreds of dollars for a polyester shift dress? Confused

LaurieFairyCake · 31/05/2015 16:09

Brora stuff in the sale is so bargainous. I love all my Brora things even though my favourite cardigan cost 125 in the sale (was 250)

Saurus72 · 31/05/2015 17:05

Don't get me started on eye-watering prices for sweaty polyester. Polyester has no place in high end companies' offerings. And yes, totally agree that Whistles is really bad for this. I am tor between feeling really annoyed and sad that I see loads f lovely-looking things in Whistles only to find out they're polyester, and relieved that if it's polyester I don't even think about buying it, which saves me a lot of money.

I just can't work out who the people are paying hundreds of pounds for manmade fabrics.

Smarterthantheaveragebeaver · 31/05/2015 20:45

I wholeheartedly agree. Hate hate hate polyester. I was shopping with a friend last week and she took me into Next (not somewhere I've shopped for at least 20 years) and the smell of all the fabric in there was awful
