BB /CC cream with really red cheeks

my face is awful. absolutey red raw, the full lengths of my cheeks from eyes to jawbone are a deep red colour. I currently use vichy dermablend or Mac full coverage, which does cover, would a BB or cc cream out there work? or are they very light designed for minimal coverage? thanks!

You need Maybelline dream fresh concealer with Rimmel concealer, the one in the red tub.

What are you else are you using on your face atm?

I use, every day, either of the previous mentioned foundations, loose powder, blush, mascara and brow pencil

in my skincare routine (I've started another thread on this) I currently use superdrug vitamin e hot cloth cleanser, olay toner, vitamin e serum, and either vitamin e night cream or nivea soft. I've got okay skin actually, lots of under the skin spots, freckles everywhere and bright red cheeks and I hate hate hate my cheeks. I just really want a lighter Base... It's like I put a mask on every day.

L'Oreal Paris Nude Magique just might be your friend....

La Roche Posay Rosaliac CC Creme is for redness prone and sensitive skin. May be worth a try.

Lily Lolo is excellent too, and you can buy testers before committing. I get on very well with Blush Away corrector when previously all other green bases have looked ridiculous.

I would try Clinique Redness Solutions pressed powder. It really tones down redness but doesn't look like you have any make up on

I think you'd benefit from using a green concealer too

I bought the L'Oreal one, it's hilarious, like someone's idea of a really unfunny joke. You put it on, it's white and 10 minutes later the orange comes through. Bloody awful

I love the Chanel CC cream mentioned in the Vogue review. I too have flaming red cheeks at times (wretched rosacea which flares up from time to time). So expensive though so get a tester first - the Chanel counter should give you a little tube so you can properly try it out. I am very pale and nearly always take the lightest shade in foundations, but in this range I am definitely colour 20, beige . Watch the colours if you do decide to try it. Shade colour 10 is very pale indeed, almost chalky.
A little goes a very long way, you just need a tiny amount for great, natural looking coverage .

Many Asian BB creams are medium/full coverage and are superb for lighter skintones. Try Dr Jart Premium at Boots? But what is causing the redness, are you blushing a lot or is it rosacea?

I like quite a few Chanel products but haven't used the Chanel CC. I have tried all Chanel liquid foundations - they are not as good as the best Asian BB creams.

Dame I made the switch from LL Porcelain/ China Doll to Missha #13, exact shade march and much simpler in warm weather, may go back to LL in winter.

Could be rosacea but actually looks more like a reaction to something. Have you always had high colouring?

Yeah pretty much, well for absolutely all of my adult life, and as far back as I can remember before that. I went through a phase of using the sensitive range from the body shop and that made no difference what so ever so don't think it could be a reaction to anything.

I have similar colouring and have had since I was a child too. Gets hot and it's reactive too so I think it's rosacea. Things that help are only using E45 wash and Allergenics cream to moisturise. Since doing this the endless has improved loads and I have really good skin. Lily Lolo is a vast improvement on using thick heavy duty stuff, LL sort of works with your skin iykwim. will have a look at the website now, mine burns up often and stings, it seems like no product reduces the redness though, I'd love to go barefaced full coverage makeup takes too long with a baby and toddler. a few people have said I look healthy haha, it probably looks worse to me than others.

LL is quick, takes a bit of practice and I found it hard to get the right shade but if you email them and tell them what shade works for you in a different range they suggest suitable shades. The samples are genius, you get a good week's worth to play with. It can look powdery depending on what brush you use, I use a Real Techniques one and it works really well. As I said earlier the Blush Away works well too- again you need to play around with it with different brushes and application.
