Silly old footner face

AvaCrowder · 12/05/2015 22:36

My face has been feeling really bunged up. I have lots of under the surface spots that I can't pick.

I used footner on my feet a couple of weeks ago, and wished that I could do the same on my face...

So tonight I wiped my face with the insides of the spare footners, I didn't wrap it, so I could feel the alcohol in it evaporate.

Then I left the residue on for an hour, and washed it very carefully.

I am expecting to peel in the next week or two and have a perfect complexion.

Shock you are pulling our legs, yes?

GaryBaldy · 12/05/2015 22:40

Shock ummm that stuff is industrial strength

AvaCrowder · 12/05/2015 22:57

No I'm not pulling your legs, I did this. I would not make this up.

It stang until the alcohol wore off and then it felt like nothing.

I promise to let you know, and to wear sunscreen.

Are you actually shitting us?

You saw what that stuff did to your feet and thought "wow I must rub this all over my face"?

I'm surprised it wasn't burning like a motherbitch!

OverAndAbove · 13/05/2015 06:40

Totally off-topic but I love the word "stang"!

Misssss · 13/05/2015 07:13

Wow.

You do realise that your face is going to fall off op. Shock

SwedeDreams · 13/05/2015 07:20

This could be cystic acne- I have had outbreaks before- it's hormone driven and really annoying because you can't pick spots and it gets worse and worse. However you can get treatment for it which doesn't involve peeling your face off!

MuttonCadet · 13/05/2015 07:22

You might need to stay indoors for a week Confused

Whatamayday · 13/05/2015 07:23

Let us know!

PacificDogwood · 13/05/2015 07:25

Shock here too.

You realise Footner is to dissolve the protein 'bridges' that hold hard calloused skin together?
Whatever your bumps under the skin are, hard skin they are likely NOT.

Having said that, I suspect nothing much is actually going to happen Grin

Fabulassie · 13/05/2015 07:48

You can't "get at" those cystic spots under the skin. Well, an actual cyst can be lanced (and that should be done by a dermatologist or something, not at home with a sewing needle.)

If you want to exfoliate the skin for general glowiness, then you can use glycolic acid products made for the purpose.

I'm sure I read that calamine lotion was the thing for such spots.

Christ, I won't even use footner on my feet because it freaks me out!

Lj8893 · 13/05/2015 09:37

You need a good acid toner for your face, not bloody footner!!

CaptainAnkles · 13/05/2015 09:40

Something designed to burn old hard calloused foot skin off is not something I would want near my face. I hope it doesn't do any damage.

AvaCrowder · 13/05/2015 10:46

Well I put sunscreen SPF 50 on this morning.

Nothing has happened so far.

When I did my feet the tops peeled a bit after four days, then the soles between seven and nine, so I wouldn't expect anything quite yet.

I've got a big night out on Saturday so I hope I don't look like my face is falling off then.

I will get some calamine lotion, I already use an acid toner.

I can't believe you put footner on your face for an hour Shock!! I really hope your face doesn't fall off in the next few days!! Good luck for Saturday!

EverythingButTheKitchenSink · 13/05/2015 11:24

I'd be going to a Drs. No, seriously.

EverythingButTheKitchenSink · 13/05/2015 11:37

Also when a quick google of 'footner on face' suggests no one else has done it (or they have and not admitted to it on the internet) you know you're in interesting water...

OOAOML · 13/05/2015 12:36

I am tempted to use Footner on my feet but a bit worried about dealing with the peeling. Can't believe you put it on your face especially if you have a big night out coming. Will watch the thread in sick fascination...

Greengardenpixie · 13/05/2015 18:20

Im watching in fascination!!! Maybe it will work and she will have baby faced skin!!! We will all be rushing out to do it then.....
