Which one item makes you feel "polished"?

I have a 6 week old DD and I'm currently rocking the slobby clothes/scraped back hair/no make up look. How can I make myself look more presentable with minimal effort?
I'm 5'7" and currently a size 16 with a lovely post pregnancy pouch.

If I'm in a real rush I sometimes just do BB cream and mascara, make up wise. Could you maybe have your eyelashes tinted?

And if I'm having a bad hair day/no time to wash it, I like to have a blast of dry shampoo and pull it back, twist it and then do it up with a clasp/claw thing. Just makes me feel a bit more "done" than a pony tail.

Earrings make me feel groomed- just small studs. And blowing out/straightening my fringe (u can let the rest go to hell in a scruffy bun but a good fringe is my pinacle of groomed)

LettuceLaughton · 07/05/2015 16:40

Post baby it'd have been my fringe. Made my scraped back hair look like I meant it to be like that and I could just wash the fringe and look OK.

These days it's red lippy.

A nice jacket works for me, either a smart blazer for formal occasions or a biker jacket that fits well

Bursarymum · 07/05/2015 16:40

Eyebrow thread

Having my eyebrows threaded.

JemFinch · 07/05/2015 16:43

Hair has to be clean, even if just scraped back and a bit of BB cream and mascara.

Itsalldramarama · 07/05/2015 16:45

Mascara and a gorgeous perfume

EuphemiaCoxton · 07/05/2015 16:48

Mascara, lip gloss and a fancy but easy hair twisty thing

IloveChoo · 07/05/2015 16:52

Morrocan Oil on your hair will make it frizz free and glossy. A decent lipstick, always makes you feel better. A well fitting pair of jeans so it doesn't matter what you throw on with them in a rush they look ok & a gorgeous handbag, which will just lift any outfit & make you smile.

In my opinion ;)

Earrings and tidy, filled in eyebrows. Oh and blusher. Sorry, that's 3!

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 07/05/2015 16:57

Very simple silver jewellery and minimal make up - powder and mascara, lip gloss .

98percentchocolate · 07/05/2015 17:02

My black boots - chunky mid heel. Always makes me feel like I've made a bit more of an effort.
That or my biker jacket.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 07/05/2015 17:05

Discreet silver jewellery.
