Which one item makes you feel "polished"?

I have a 6 week old DD and I'm currently rocking the slobby clothes/scraped back hair/no make up look. How can I make myself look more presentable with minimal effort?
I'm 5'7" and currently a size 16 with a lovely post pregnancy pouch.

I would have said a smart jacket, but actually in the last few weeks I've started making more of an effort with my hair, styling it a bit instead of just pulling it back and have felt a lot better, been getting non hair related compliments etc, so now I would say straighteners, just to smooth over, nothing dramatic makes all the difference for me.

I have a baby so I feel your scruffy pain.

I have a lady come to the house and do a mani pedi with shellac. Then I never have to think about my hands or feet and they look perfect for ages. She also does a lash & brow tint so I don't have to think about putting on mascara or even worse having to remove it when I'm so tired at the end of the day.

I got bought some nice lounging around clothes so that whatever comfy thing I pull on in the morning looks ok.

I have a five week old. I feel like a real person when I manage to straighten my hair. If I also manage to moisturise I feel like a super model.

In winter, a great coat and lipstick.

In summer, gel toes and bb cream.

Congrats on your dd! Smile

Not a beauty product but I think everyone looks a million times better when they stand up tall, as opposed to slouching.

cats you need boots botanics bb cream. It is awesome, I never wear foundation anymore. It comes in light, medium & probably dark. I have light for winter & medium if I ever get a tan ;). Seriously, try it!

I'm in the good coat camp. Plus sleek hair and a decent bag.

Great hair cut and colour, top quality bra.
I also recommend tinted brows and lashes and nice lip balm .

Also very natural or even clear nail varnish look polished but are low on maintenance because chips don't show.

I have an almost 6 month old and only now just starting to feel 'put together' again.

Mine are clean hair with no roots, eyebrows filled in and nail varnish. Clothes that don't have sick or snot on are also a bonus.

Eyebrow tint, thread and eye lash tint.

It makes you (me) look better without having to do anything else at all.

Wierdly cutting my hair to a length so I can't tie it back AND cutting it into a hairstyle has made a huge difference. I can't just scrape it back and ignore it - I have to spend two minutes every day throwing product into it and making sure it will dry into its style.

I also have a tiny baby (5 weeks tomorrow) and I feel better for cc cream, blush, curled eyelashes and a slick of lip colour.
