Throwing my flannel in the ring to join.
I'm 33, still get spots although thankfully my cystic acne seems to have cleared up after medication. Have been following some form of Queen Hirons regime for a while but since the first thread have been properly sticking to it.
So AM.
Either a clarins cream cleanser or Soap and glory peaches and clean (annoyingly every other S&G face product I react to)
Pixi glow
LRP serozinc toner
Hydraluron moisture jelly
Clinique moisture surge gel

PM
DHC cleansing oil
Clinique take the day off balm
Clearasil pads
Clarins toner or Liz Earle skin tonic
Serum - using up a sample of bio effect at the minute
Ren rose synergy oil
Then either origins moisture drink up Intensive or clinique again.

Also bought the eBay Retinol a cream and have used twice so far. No ill effects but not sure can see any tbh

Skoda - I use the Bobbi Brown 50spf base love it

Frugal, I love a sheet mask, go to product, but scary looking and a pain to put on but the results are awesome! My skin loves it, once a week I stick the packet in the fridge for an hour and then apply, followed by massaging in all the stuff after 20mins, skin never looks better.

Since starting this skin care regime I am only using them once a week, before it was three times. I use the indeed labs hyalauronic ones, get slightly panicky if they are out of stock!

twitch if you pm me your address I'll post one of the indeed labs out to you tomorrow! Xoxo

JoolsSchmools · 04/05/2015 22:19

I've got that as well lapomme My stash is embarrassingly quite large!
It's not bad but I think I prefer Liz Earle.
Happy to send you a sample of it if you pm me your address?

PoppyAmex · 04/05/2015 22:21

Frugal I'm also obsessed with Korean skincare; lived in Sydney for years and could get them easily and when we moved back we had a 3 day stopover in Seul and I bought my weight in skincare.

There are hundreds of skincare stores handing out dozens of samples outside to entice you in and I found the product quality amazing.

You just inspired me to hunt down some of my old favourites!

plumstone · 04/05/2015 22:25

Beginning of March I as a facialist, who introduced me to 7 step skin care regime, which is pretty much what we all do. It's based on Japanese Geisha's! And having read Poppy's post it seems that part of the world is way ahead of us!!

FrugalFashionista · 04/05/2015 22:52

Poppy and Plum, please tell me more! Dragon Flowers
Asian skincare routines and product reviews are my new obsession! I spent quite a bit time in Little Koreas in the US eating kimchi and bibimbap, never realizing what I was missing!

Plumstone you lovely thing! Not to worry, I'm off to boots tomorrow myself xx

Fabulassie · 04/05/2015 23:19

The goop in the sheet mask envelope can be used - some people put the sheet mask back in and use another day. Or, you can just scoop it out with your finger and apply like the Indeed gel serum stuff.

I've had some of those masks (not Indeed, but something from my spa with the same HA in it) and I'm not convinced it's really worth the money. I wouldn't want to waste any of it.

FrownsAndDimples · 05/05/2015 00:35

On my goodness, have spent the best part of this evening googling Korean skincare.

Why have I not known of sheetnasks before?!

FrugalFashionista · 05/05/2015 06:31

I'm no expert in Korean skincare, have just tried maybe half a dozen products and loved them all, but here is a story to get you started and here is another one. (The sleeping masks are her recommendation and apparently she really knows what she is talking about - fabulous stuff). There are lots of blogs too that do product reviews and some dedicated online stores. In the US, Korean beauty has gone mainstream, you can buy these lovely products from Sephora and Target, not just Asian stores. There must be some dud products too but hit rate has been great. Particularly worth a look if you are not big on oils, these products have been lovely for adult-acne prone skin. If this obsession goes on, I'm going to be vacationing in Seoul soon Wink

DrankSangriaInThePark · 05/05/2015 06:32

I need a gloopy mask!

I restarted the Thai RetinA last night (I stopped it as I had introduced acid toner and a new night cream and my skin was like an about to erupt geyser)

It's going to be 36 degrees here today so I have put my factor 50 next to my toothbrush so I don't forget it like I did yesterday.

DrankSangriaInThePark · 05/05/2015 06:33

Good morning Frugal!

bigbuttons · 05/05/2015 06:37

When I remember I do a Japanese lotion mask. I used the Asian toner, like nada labo. It's not like our toner. I use cotton squares when I remember. Which isn't often enough. I have a stash of the eye masks by my bed and I keep forgetting to use those as well!
My fav sunscreen is a biore one, which is a Japanese brand I believe. I love Asian skincare products and wish they were more available in the UK.

Sorry about the messed-up second link, that was before coffee, try here.

Sangria, are you in Italy? It's going to be hot here too

If you are somewhere where it's still winter (I'm heading up North soon, it was still snowing there last week!), here are some Korean cold weather suggestions. Winter is the worst thing for my skin but Koreans get snow too, so definitely going to try some of their winter products!

And sorry about being a total monomaniac. My skin hates skincare, so when I find something that it can take and that makes a difference, I am officially obsessed Grin

Bigbuttons I need to look into Asian sunscreens!

VeryStressedMum · 05/05/2015 07:47

Those who have the Indian Johnsons retin a cream off eBay just wondering how your getting on?
I used it last week and no reaction and just used it 2 nights in a row and still no reaction.
When I used a 1% retinol my face was stinging and peeling a bit....is the retin a working?

VeryStressedMum · 05/05/2015 07:48

Forgot to say it's the 0.025 retin a.

Sallystyle · 05/05/2015 08:16

Well my retin comes from my GP and I have been using it daily for about 5-6 days now and I have no reaction at all.

One bit of soreness but that was more the acid. No dryness, nothing.

I assume it is working.

DrankSangriaInThePark · 05/05/2015 08:24

Frugal, I am indeed, sunny (very) Puglia.

And about to begin my seasonal hopping from shadow to shadow as I walk around as my mozzarella coloured skin and the sun do not get on!

FrugalFashionista · 05/05/2015 08:33

Sangria, sheet masks for Italy (haven't tried this specific mask but loving Missha products), probably going to order from them as dealing with customs is a pain here...

VeryStressedMum · 05/05/2015 08:37

Thanks U2 it probably is working I'm just paranoid Grin I'll keep using it. I'm glad I don't have peeling or soreness but I still like to think it's working!

cathyandclaire · 05/05/2015 08:43

Did my third Retin A on Sunday and much less redness and peeling than last time, in fact my general skin looks plumped and glowy. Sadly my eye bags look plumped too and my eyes are irritated. I'm not really using anything on them, I wonder if I'm sub-consciously itching/rubbing them and stuff from my hands is transferring.
