Playsuits ever work on anyone over 20?

I am a tad horrified by this, Confused but am very very tempted to purchase one of these. I am 40 and a fairly slim pear shaped size 10......... Would it every work?

Nope.

Cakecrumbsinmybra · 29/04/2015 14:15

I am 39 and a fairly slim size 10 too. I tried a load on recently and they all looked dreadful.

Oly4 · 29/04/2015 14:18

Only if you're twig thin and it's plain black or navy in luxurious fabric. With the right jewellery and jewelled flats, I think it could look amazing, especially on holiday with a tan. But I wouldn't buy a cheap one

PurpleDaisies · 29/04/2015 14:19

I'm a 33yr old tall size 8 and absolutely nothing looks good on me either. Jumpsuits ate the same. I have given up. At least I won't have to strip to go to the loo.

mowglik · 29/04/2015 14:26

I can imagine it on holiday..maybe..but otherwise no

DrankSangriaInThePark · 29/04/2015 14:33

No.

dexter73 · 29/04/2015 14:33

I would try it on and see.

sleepwhenidie · 29/04/2015 15:07

I am 42 and have been contemplating the Baujken ones, I like them! I agree try some but don't go too short/flimsy/cheap and any ditsy floral pattern would be too girly for me too.

LondonRocks · 29/04/2015 15:13

Take some air and lie down. And, here Brew

Don't go there.

ScandiS · 29/04/2015 15:13

Yeah..I guess it wouldn't be the best look, as I am not willowy and tall. And I do n-o-t want to look like frumpy old woman dressing too young Shock

elportodelgato · 29/04/2015 15:13

I have one! It's bright pink, I wear it with black tights, heels and shiny jewellery for (rare) nights out. I'm 38 and a size 8-10, and I think it looks just as cute as a short dress. Having said that, tbh I don't care what anyone else thinks - the whole get-up makes me feel happier than I can explain Smile

worldgonecrazy · 29/04/2015 15:19

I saw this one by Temperley in John Lewis and I thought that it might be suitable for a slightly older playsuit wearer on holiday.

LondonRocks · 29/04/2015 15:21

If you feel good in it, you'll look good.

CrispyFern · 29/04/2015 15:27

I'm early forties, jumpsuits suit me.
Playsuits, not so much.

CaptainAnkles · 29/04/2015 15:28

I'm not sure they suit anyone under 20 either.

base9 · 29/04/2015 15:29

No one over 6.

50ShadesOfSummer · 29/04/2015 15:36

I have several and I am over 40. Size 10, slim but not skinny. I like them. I like that you can wear a short dress style without the fear of flashing your knickers in a gust of wind. I also sometimes wear them with tights.

But, like elport, I don't give a stuff what anyone thinks.

I am 36 size 12 and I just bought the baukjen black one for holidays/ summer wear. Remains to be seen how much wear it will get!

Nells77 · 29/04/2015 15:53

I'm 37 and a petite size 8. I have loads of motel rocks playsuits Smile I love them and feel I wear them we, I always get complemented when I wear them!
As long as you like it and feel confident in wearing it then I'd say go for it Smile

Charityworker34 · 29/04/2015 19:29

I also love Motel Rocks play suits. I am 34, size 10-12. But then my style has never really 'grown up' TBH!

HelenF350 · 29/04/2015 19:48

I wore a plain black one on holiday, I'm 35.

GingerLDN · 29/04/2015 19:50

Playsuits are brilliant, you just have to find the right one.

HelenF350 · 29/04/2015 19:52

nelly.com/uk/womens-fashion/clothing/jumpsuit/river-island-2715/double-layered-playsuit-273831-14/ this is similar to the one I bought but the one I bought was from Tesco so a lot cheaper!

burnishedsilver · 29/04/2015 19:53

Even if you manage to pull it off you'd still look better in something else.
