What's your favourite Bronzing Powder?

I have been using the same one for ages (Loreal GlamBronze) and it doesn't seem to have much pigment to it! It also comes out a red/ish tinge rather than a browny bronze colour. I want to steer clear of pinky red shades as I have a blusher to do that job!

So what's your favourite tan colour bronzing powder?

Guerlain Terracotta Joli Teint in 02 Naturel - Blondes.

They usually do a new one every year and I think they have a permanent collection too.

The one I have is the latest one: www.selfridges.com/en/guerlain-terracotta-joli-teint-bronzer_397-77002296-JOLI/?previewAttribute=00+blondes+clair

I really like the colour of it and it lasts really well on my skin, but it is very perfumed (and not with the usual lovely Terracotta perfume). It has a little bit of golden shimmer (visible in the compact), but I don't really notice it when it's on the skin.

Hoola by Benefit

Have used others over the years but always come back to this one.

OttiliaVonBCup · 13/04/2015 11:59

I use Nars laguna and Bourjois one, looks like a bar of chocolate.

Molotov · 13/04/2015 12:01

No suggestions but am place marking as I'm keen to get my hands on an excellent bronzer!

Body Shop honey bronze... Can't do without it!

RL20 · 13/04/2015 12:08

Thanks for the replies.

I remember looking at Benefit ones a while ago - will have to take a look at Hoola.

Unfortunately I don't have a NARS counter in my town, so I've not been able to try their foundations either!

I didn't think of Body Shop, thanks!

another Guerlain fan here I use 4 seasons 03 for Brunettes , its pricy around £50 in Hs of fraser, but lasts and lasts. its stays in one piece and doesn't get dusty or loose (IYSWIM). I have it 4months and have loads left.

Love Hoola by Benefit, and also love Bare Minerals in Warmth and actually this thread has reminded me that I need to treat myself to a new one Smile

RL20 · 13/04/2015 14:01

Thanks.
I don't have lots of money to spend (due my first baby this month!) but willing to spend a little on a decent one. I think Hoola is winning at the moment, so will check that one out in store. Have read reviews on the Boots website too with people saying it's a lovely tan colour rather than orange, which is what I want!
But have read that the brush isn't that great that comes with it? Not that I'm too fussed about that

sorry, ridiculously expensive but amazing Eve Lom

Bahama Mama by TheBalm is a fantastic bronzer. No sparkles at all and a really good brown colour with not a hint of orange. It's usually between £10-£15 depending on where you buy it. I was put off a bit by the packaging at first, but it's grown on me a lot now. It also doubles up as a great eyeshadow.

RL20 · 13/04/2015 17:48

Ooh thank you jasmine1979! I see what you mean about the packaging, ha ha Grin. Sounds like it could be a good Hoola alternative. Will check that out next time I go into the city centre where my local Superdrug is.

Thanks rafaella, unfortunately I don't have enough disposable income for that, though! Lol

I used to use Benefit Hoola then switched down to Rimmel Sunshimmer Medium Matte bronzer.
Love it now and wouldn't Pay the money to go back to Hoola .
( Done a lot of switching down to cheaper dupes whilst on Maternity leave and never went back !)

travailtotravel · 13/04/2015 22:20

I amleasingly surprised by the bargain MUA option ....

loveliesbleeding1 · 13/04/2015 22:39

Can def.second loadsablushers rimmel recommendation.A lovely sunkissed look.

RL20 · 14/04/2015 09:04

Hmm interesting, thanks! Will have a look at that one too, LoadsaBlusher.
Yes I'm currently on maternity leave too, so although it's giving me a lot of time to rethink my make-up bag, I also need to cut back a bit!
